Buda Gautama

Siddharta Gautama, más conocido como Buda Gautama, Sakiamuni,​ o simplemente el Buda, fue un asceta (sanniasin) y sabio​ en cuyas enseñanzas se fundó el budismo.​ Nació en la ya desaparecida república Sakia en las estribaciones del Himalaya. Enseñó principalmente en el noroeste de la India.

Debido a ciertas interpretaciones erróneas muy comunes, debe enfatizarse que Buda Gautama no es un dios ni el único ni primer buda (ver Buda (concepto)). Esto no solo fue asegurado por el mismo Sidarta Gautama, sino que también la cosmología budista hace esta distinción al afirmar que únicamente los humanos —pero no se limita a esta humanidad en particular— pueden lograr el estado de buda, pues en estos reside el mayor potencial para la iluminación.

Buda enseñó el camino medio entre la complacencia sensual y el ascetismo estricto —practicado en el movimiento Sramana común a esta región de la India. Más adelante enseñaría a lo largo de las regiones del este de esta nación, tales como Magadja y Kosala.​

Es la figura central del budismo y sus relatos, discursos y reglas monásticas son creencias budistas que, después de su muerte, fueron resumidas y memorizadas por sus seguidores. Existen diversas colecciones de dichas enseñanzas que le fueron atribuidas y transmitidas por tradición oral, hasta ser escritas aproximadamente cuatrocientos años después de su fallecimiento. Gautama, known as Gautam Buddha, Sakyamuni, or simply Buddha was an ascetic (sannyasin) and whose teachings wise Buddhism founded. Born in the now defunct Republic Sakia in the foothills of Himalayas. He taught primarily in northwestern India.

Due to some very common misconceptions, Gautama Buddha must be emphasized that it is not a god neither the only nor the first Buddha (see Buda (concept)). This not only was secured by the same Siddhartha Gautama, but also Buddhist cosmology makes this distinction by stating that only human but not limited to this one in particular humanity can achieve Buddhahood, because in these lies the greatest potential for enlightenment.

Buddha taught the middle way between sensual indulgence and strict asceticism -practicado in the common Sramana movement this region of India. Later he teaches along the eastern regions of this nation, such as Magadja and Kosala.

Is the central figure of Buddhism and their stories, speeches and monastic rules are Buddhist beliefs that, after his death, were summarized and memorized by his followers. There are several collections of these teachings that were attributed and transmitted by oral tradition, to be written about four hundred years after his death.
