WUFCNet (Beta)

WUFCNet é o serviço de rede sem fio (Wi-Fi) disponibilizado pela Secretaria de Tecnologia da Informação (STI) em vários campus da Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC). Esse serviço tem como objetivo garantir aos membros da Instituição acesso descomplicado à Internet em qualquer lugar, principalmente quando estiverem utilizando dispositivos móveis.

O aplicativo WUFCNet (Beta) pretende melhorar a experiência dos usuários na utilização desse serviço. Para isso, ele armazena de forma segura as credenciais do usuário, identifica quando o dispositivo está conectado a rede sem fio WUFCNet e obtém automaticamente autorização para que o usuário possa acessar a Internet a partir daquele dispositivo. Tudo isso ocorre de forma transparente para o usuário, que precisa informar uma única vez suas credencias de acesso ao serviço. O aplicativo evita a inconveniência do usuário ter que fornecer manualmente os dados sempre que chegar a um lugar onde o serviço está disponível, ou ficar sem acesso caso não perceba que o serviço está disponível naquele local, mas requer autenticação para liberar o acesso à Internet. WUFCNet is (Wi-Fi) wireless network service provided by the Department of Information Technology (ITS) in several campus of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). This service aims to provide members of the Institution uncomplicated access Internet anywhere, especially when they are using mobile devices.

The WUFCNet application (Beta) aims to improve the user experience in the use of this service. For this he securely stores user credentials, identifies when the device is connected to the wireless network and automatically WUFCNet gets released so that the user can access the internet from that device. All this occurs transparently to the user, who must enter their credentials only once to access the service. The application avoids the inconvenience of the user having to manually enter the data whenever they get to a place where the service is available, or lose access if you do not realize that the service is available in that location, but requires authentication to allow access to the Internet.
