CUT Brasil

A Central Única dos Trabalhadores (CUT) é uma organização sindical brasileira de massas, em nível máximo, de caráter classista, autônomo e democrático, cujo compromisso é a defesa dos interesses imediatos e históricos da classe trabalhadora.

Baseada em princípios de igualdade e solidariedade, seus objetivos são organizar, representar sindicalmente e dirigir a luta dos trabalhadores e trabalhadoras da cidade e do campo, do setor público e privado, ativos e inativos, por melhores condições de vida e de trabalho e por uma sociedade justa e democrática.

Presente em todos os ramos de atividade econômica do país, a CUT se consolida como a maior central sindical do Brasil, da América Latina e a 5ª maior do mundo, com 3.960 entidades filiadas, 7.933.029 trabalhadoras e trabalhadores associados e 25.831.443 trabalhadoras e trabalhadores na base.

Desde sua fundação, a CUT tem atuação fundamental na disputa da hegemonia e nas transformações ocorridas no cenário político, econômico e social ao longo da história brasileira, latino-americana e mundial. Os avanços obtidos na proposta de um Sistema Democrático de Relações de Trabalho e a eleição de um operário à presidência da República em 2002, são fortes exemplos dessas mudanças e resultados diretos das ações da CUT em sua luta incansável pela garantia e ampliação de direitos da classe trabalhadora.

A CUT defende a liberdade e autonomia sindical com o compromisso e o entendimento de que os trabalhadores têm o direito de decidir livremente sobre suas formas de organização, filiação e sustentação financeira, com total independência frente ao Estado, governos, patronato, partidos e agrupamentos políticos, credos e instituições religiosas e a quaisquer organismos de caráter programático ou institucional.

Para a Central, as lutas da classe trabalhadora são sustentadas pela unidade a partir da vontade e da consciência política dos trabalhadores. The Central Workers Union (CUT) is a Brazilian trade union mass organization in maximum level of classist character, autonomous and democratic, whose commitment is to defend the immediate and historical interests of the working class.

Based on equality and solidarity principles, its objectives are to organize, represent sindicalmente and lead the struggle of the workers of town and country, public and private sector, active and inactive, for better conditions of life and work and a just and democratic society.

Present in all branches of economic activity in the country, the CUT itself as the largest union federation in Brazil, Latin America and the 5th largest in the world with 3,960 affiliated entities, 7,933,029 workers and related workers and 25,831,443 workers and workers at the base.
