What are users saying about Contact Widget

Coming as I do from the Unix world, that's the design philosophy I appreciate it, and this app displays it in spades. It has *just* the right amount of complexity. Or would, if you could put Widgets in Folders. So, one suggested improvement: Allow the selection of a Group, instead of a Contact, and put one extra menu in front to pick its members. Still, an A.

I used the software earlier and it was working fine. But after upgrading to the new OS, it doesn't simply works. I uninstalled the software and installed again. Whatever contacts I had in the home screen earlier, that also I lost. The software does not add any contacts on home screen anymore and just keeps hopping on the same contacts screen. No menu or any further information to proceed. Rgds Shyam

This widget makes my life so much easier. I have never been one to memorize phone numbers so before this widget I would always have to go to contacts, look for the name, so forth and so on. Now I just put my boyfriends, my mom, my best friends, exc, contact number on my home screen and click on the picture. It asks if I want to text, call, or email. Pretty simple.

S70%
by S####:

I have a contact selected and set click behavior to show the menu. After clicking the widget and selecting SMS once, clicking again will always go direct to SMS, no menu opens. Other than that, I really like the app.

S70%
by S####:

Lately when I'm putting a widget up, no picture shows with it. All my old ones display their picture, but none of the new ones do -- just the contact widget icon. I love this app otherwise.

P70%
by P####:

Can't edit name once contact is placed on the home screen. No option to change appearence of the icon or text. Apart from direct calling, Android's built in functionality is better. Sorry but I uninstalled it.

Works great until my phone (HTC wildfire S) does a reset or restart. Then its lost all the contact icons I had up on a screen ...so have to add then all again...very annoying

S70%
by S####:

Just puts useless icons on home page. Can't assign a contact to it. Plz advise if I'm missing something

S70%

No photos, only shows part me last name... terrible. [Droid X - Verizon]

S70%
by S####:

It worked great. It looked great. Then something changed. Now icons are small and text is jumbled. Why do these things change? I really liked it the way it was. Now I am removing it.

S70%
by S####:

I use it for all my favorites. But on my Galaxy s3 it had large icons. Now on my s5 it has small icons that I can't see well. I'll be looking for something different.

S70%
by S####:

I have three problems with this: 1. The picture is small (doesn't take the full 1x1 place) 2. No way to avoid text completly (probably because of the first problem) 3. I wish it supported doubletap to open the contact (while single tap is used to dial)

S70%
by S####:

Very clean and simple - too simple. On my Galaxy S2 no labels at all - would be nice to know if icon initiated call or text...

S70%
by S####:

Works fine but no picture shows up. Disappointing really but oh well.

P70%
by P####:

Bad execution. Glitchy.

S70%
by S####:

Simple app...even with so many apps out there it can be a journey to find a one touch contact dialer that is easy, simple and doesn't over do it. What is the optimum contact picture size/resolution? When I add a contact it's kinda small for me...but if I re-size the picture remains small instead of re sizing to fit the new dimensions. Awesome app - looking forward to your updates

Promising but buggy on Droid 2. Widget names don't display properly. Can't handle pause in phone number.

I70%
by I####:

Does not show contact photos like the sample pictures show. Worst part is the dev does not respond to any emails. Useless.

B70%
by B####:

Makes life a lot easier. If contact has multiple phone numbers adding the type tag would be useful so you know which is which. This is just a nice to have., useful even without it.

X70%

Most phones have this already but better. Total crap!

S70%
by S####:

Doesn't show phone number title. Are you trying to sms a land line? Don't know. Just shows u a number

T70%

I like the individual widgets but wish it would come with text under each image. The widget didn't work after restarting phone. HTC EVO

Was perfect, now no option to show (large) picture only. Bring that option back and rating will be back to 5 stars.

For those who likes simple and quick functionality. I would also recommend to try srgb Contact widget

I hated the tiny little contact shortcut icons for speed dials on the LG Optimus V - this is just what I was looking for. It doesn't sync with facebook contact photos, but if you assign them manually in the phone or in your gmail contacts on the web, it's perfect!

Memory Hog takes 60 MB! Not the advertised 35 KB. But works great

C70%

A great widget to call/message ur favourits. It consumes a little space in ur mob memory.

C70%

Doesn't work with 2.3.3. Shows the contact as unknown when attempting to dial and then doesn't make a call.

Very convenient and easy. Love it yo!

Very nice but not loading Facebook contacts on s3. Does on the s2 for some reason.

C70%

The contact pic only worked with the first two, then it only displayed the app icon and part of the number. (Samsung Infuse 4G with Go Launcher EX)

When contacts are synced with Facebook contact photo is replaced by a dummy picture

Wrks gd with my lg ally. Just alil big...takes up too much space on the homescreen.

Like the ease of use but does not show labels on droid & needs an update/edit feature

C70%
by C####:

Works good. My phone has this feature but my current theme acts up with them. So this app covered me in that area. No glitches. All powerful Droid X.

H70%

Awsome widget... One suggestion: allow updating widget icon when a contact is updated without having to deleting and placing it again.

R70%

A very handy widget to have. Beats the built in one that comes with android. Thank you!

V70%

When I press on widget, it loads my contacts but then they all disappear and leave no widget to press.

C70%
by C####:

It would be a LOT nicer if it displayed the person's NAME and not the phone number.
