DeVry One

O DeVry One é uma inovação em termos de colaboração social aplicada à educação. Através do DeVry One, professores e alunos das instituições da DeVry Brasil podem se conectar e interagir como um corpo único, desenvolvendo as competências de aprendizagem de uma forma muito mais dinâmica e participativa.

São dois os pilares do DeVry One: aprendizagem ativa e colaboração. Através da aprendizagem ativa, os professores terão a possibilidade de aumentar o engajamento dos alunos, que serão estimulados a responder perguntas durante aula usando seus dispositivos móveis, tais como tablets e smartphones. A colaboração, por sua vez, irá permitir que professores compartilhem entre si suas apresentações e outros materiais didáticos, o mesmo valendo para os alunos, seja com relação às suas anotações em sala de aula ou outros recursos de aprendizagem.

Professores passam a ter, através do DeVry One, feedback imediato do processo de aprendizagem dos alunos e, conforme o caso, implementar ações de melhoria em tempo real, durante a própria aula. Além disso, os professores poderão ter informações mais detalhadas sobre quais partes de sua disciplina merecem maior atenção e terão acesso a uma enorme quantidade de materiais didáticos produzidos por seus colegas, os quais estarão ranqueados através do recurso "gostei/não gostei" dos alunos. As equipes de suporte pedagógico da Casa, por sua vez, saberão com mais precisão quais alunos estão com dificuldades de aprendizagem e em qual parte da disciplina. O próprio ambiente poderá fazer a recomendação de leituras suplementares de forma individualizada, conforme as necessidades de cada aluno.

A base pedagógica do DeVry One está lastreada nos achados mais relevantes da neurociência e da ciência da cognição, tal como o chamado “testing effect”, que é o estímulo da aprendizagem através do uso de questões durante a aula. Além disso, o DeVry One incorpora algumas das principais modernas metodologias da educação, tal como a "peer instruction", que consiste no processo de aprendizagem entre pares, e a "adaptive learning", que é a possibilidade de cada aluno ter um tratamento individualizado, conforme suas necessidades e estilo de aprendizagem. Teachers now have, by DeVry One, immediate feedback from the students' learning process and, as appropriate, implement real-time improvement actions during the session itself. In addition, teachers may have more detailed information about which parts of their discipline deserve greater attention and will have access to a huge amount of learning materials produced by their colleagues, who are unranked by using "liked / did not like" the students.
