Alfredinho

A trajetória de vida do metalúrgico Alfredo Alves Cavalcante, o Alfredinho, é marcada pelo compromisso e pela luta a favor da melhoria da qualidade de vida dos trabalhadores e dos moradores de São Paulo.

Nordestino, nascido em Oeiras, Piauí, há 30 anos vive na Zona Sul de São Paulo e conhece profundamente os problemas e necessidades da região. Aos 50 anos de idade, Alfredinho é casado com dona Maria José e é pai de Andréia, Ariane e Alícia.

Ainda na ditadura, no início dos anos 1980, Alfredinho atuou na fundação do PT e da CUT que, junto com o presidente Lula, foram fundamentais para o processo de redemocratização do Brasil. Destacou-se como liderança entre os trabalhadores da Ford de São Bernardo do Campo e foi eleito diretor do Sindicato dos Metalúrgicos do ABC, na gestão do atual prefeito Luiz Marinho.

A relação de Alfredinho junto aos movimentos populares e na luta por moradia digna o consolidou como liderança na cidade de São Paulo e em 2004 aceitou o desafio de disputar as eleições. Teve 25 mil votos e ficou com a segunda suplência na Câmara Municipal de São Paulo e por um breve período assumiu o cargo de vereador.

Alfredinho chefiou o gabinete da subprefeitura da Capela do Socorro. Sua atuação, marcado pela forte participação popular, possibilitou a conquista de diversos serviços e muitas melhorias estruturais para os bairros mais pobres da Zona Sul de São Paulo.

No PT, Alfredinho foi presidente do diretório zonal da Capela do Socorro, secretário de movimentos populares do Diretório Municipal e respondeu pela Tesouraria da mesma instância.

Alfredinho foi líder da bancada de vereadores e atualmente preside a Comissão de Constituição e Justiça, comissão que analisa todos os projetos em tramitação. He stood out as a leader among Ford workers in São Bernardo do Campo and was elected director of the Union of the ABC Metalworkers, management of the current mayor Luiz Marinho.

The Alfredinho relationship with the popular movements and the struggle for decent housing as the consolidated leadership in São Paulo and in 2004 accepted the challenge to run in the elections. He had 25,000 votes and got the second substitutive in the Municipality of São Paulo and briefly took over as councilor.

Alfredinho headed the office of the borough of Capela do Socorro. His performance, marked by strong popular participation, enabled the achievement of various services and many structural improvements for the poorest neighborhoods in the South Zone of São Paulo.

In PT, Alfredinho was chairman of the zonal directory of Socorro Chapel, Secretary of popular movements of the Municipal Board and the Treasury said the same instance.

Alfredinho was Countertop leading councilors and currently chairs the Committee on Constitution and Justice Committee that reviews all projects in progress.
