تطبيق كتاب تحفة الذاكرين بعدة الحصن الحصين من كلام سيد المرسلين تاليف محمد بن علي الشوكاني نظراً لأهمية كتاب الحصن الحصين، في الأذكار الواردة عن سيد المرسلين، فقد عمد الإمام الشوكاني إلى تحسينه والاعتناء به إذ أنه قام في كتابه هذا في بيان درجة الأحاديث المروية فيه، تحسيناً أو تصحيحاً أو تضعيفاً، ضيافاً إلى التصحيح والتنقيح فائدة جليلة، هي أنه يذكر ألفاظ الحديث إذا كان له ألفاظ مورداً ما يطابق معنى ذلك الحديث من الأحاديث. بالإضافة إلى ذلك فقد عمد الإمام الشوكاني في كتابه هذا إلى شرح أحاديث الحصن الحصين بما تقتضيه الألفاظ والمعاني، مبيناً ما ورد في الحديث من فوائد وفرائد لم يتعرض إليها شارحاً قبله.
جمع الإمام الشوكاني في هذا الكتاب الأذكار والأوراد النبوية في جميع الأحوال والمناسبات والتي تهم المسلم في جميع شؤون حياته، مدعماً الكتاب بالآيات القرآنية الدالة على فضل الذكر والذاكرين. وقد جاء الكتاب وسطاً سهلاً، يفيد الذاكرين في جميع أوقاتهم، وعلى كل أحوالهم.
وقد أُخْرج في هذه الطبعة بحلة منهجية جديدة تواكب التآليف المعاصرة، وذلك للاستفادة منه على أكمل وجه ممكن حيث قام المحقق بالأعمال التالية: تخريج الآيات القرآنية الواردة في الكتاب، تخريج الأحاديث النبوية من مصادرها الأساسية، وضع نبذ مفيدة عن العلماء والأعلام الذين وردت أسماؤهم وأقوالهم في الكتاب، شرح ما غمض من الكلمات الغريبة والمبهمة، ترتيب الحواشي ترتيباً دقيقاً
