About Interval Running
Manage your interval runs with your GPS by setting distance, rest time and repeats.
What is interval run ?
• Improve physiological capacities (cardiac, muscular ...).
• Work on your technique (stride improvement).
• Progress by testing your ability to complete a challenging session and follow the training plan chosen.
How to train in interval runs :
• Find a track (if possible) or a good place to run.
• Warmup is required.
• Repeat effort over short distances (100 to 1000m) interspersed with recovery times equal to or slightly less than the working time to progress in VMA.
• Repeat effort over distances greater than 800m interspersed with recovery less than the time of effort to work the paces specific to the prepared objective.
• Work at a pace consistent with its level and its objectives. Do not be too ambitious (especially when starting) or too modest.
• Do not stand still during recovery.
