bitShark Trial for Android
Crash, and more crashes. Why would I want to buy this app of I can't even see how it works. On android 6.1
CM13 galaxy s5, root permission granted, error log sent.
Every time you try to capture crashes on me
Rooted note 3 didn't work
Doesnt work
Can't view pcaps in demo.
100% Functional on LG G3 4.4.2 rooted, purchased the pro version some years ago, reminiscent of the desktop product using colors for packet types. Successfully dumping pcap to desktop for easier analysis. If product is not functioning correctly I would suggest looking into (WiCap) I also purchased the pro version of that software too, functions well but interface has a learning curve and is not as intuitive as this product is.
After a few seconds asks me to buy full app. No proof it actually does anything. No pcap or error!
I would like something that could capture "gtp" traces.
Z1compact 5.1.1 rooted
Tells me my device doesn't have root, which it does and then quits saying decryption failed. I have an LG G3 running CM12
When clicking capture it crashes.
It fails directly with some decryption error. No love here.
Delete data/data/blake.hamilton.bitshark busybox. Works for me even in Enforced mode. 2 other devices didn't need this tho. Weird. Awesome app.
Crashes
This app does nothing! I guess nothing is free!
No package captured.
DO NOT INSTALL. The app tries to access the sdcard through /storage/usbdisk, which doesn't do anything. After making a symlink to /storage/emulated/0/, that fixed it, but each packet captured was an "unrecognized packet".
Doesn't work on Android 5.0.1
Bought the full version as I couldn't open pcap files in trial. Once bought I find the viewer and analysis is very basic and also crashed. Refunded it promptly.
If we could attempt to analyze a packet which we have already captured. I understand u don't won't to give away the milk for free. But one or two trial runs would be nice
I cant do capture, I cant do open files.Only open the setting. . Wtf...?!?!? SO, U should not offer the worst app that I have found. Not like wireshark which is too powetful... I disappointed. ..!!!
I tried to capture but it allows on 2-3 seconds of capturing mode. Not a big deal, then I will see how the decode works. Not possible with trial to load a trace. I am not convinced to purchase the full version. Tip for the developer: allow to load 2 or 3 traces and take 2-3 captures in the trial version.
Doesn't capture nor can you view of it did! What's the point of the trial? Uninstalled.
to test if we can't even open a pcap file ? Ridicule ...
I was using this on CM10.2 with no problems, but could not with CM11. SELinux mode changed to 'Enforcing' with Kitkat stopped it working. If you have this search Play store for SELinux Mode Changer. Set to Permissive again and Bitshark is fine and working again... Set back to Enforcing if you feel safer that way afterwards, or not! Either way Bitshark has saved me hours of debugging network issues.
No update since april so guessing this is a dead unsupported app, shame idea was good but who would pay for a faulty unsupported app
It simply refuses to start capturing packets. I'm on a rooted Nexus 10 with Android 4.4. I'd suspect 4.4 to be the problem, except that Shark for Root works just fine. However, it does not have the features I want. If you can get this trial application working, and I see it working, I WILL buy the full version. I'm not touching it until then.
CyanogenMod NIGHTLY- capturing stop instantly after start.
Nexus 5. KitKat problem?
"Failed to Start Capturing" error, sometimes with crash.
Failed to start capture
Doesn't work on galaxy note
Stops capture as soon as I go to an application to pass traffic.
Trial works great but pay very fails to install. Invalid package.
This doesn't seem to work with Samsung s3 using the root method. However, I tried it using tPacketCapture which uses VPN rather than root, and this app is able to open the pcap correctly. Please fix
Please update the app. The capture dont work. !!!!
little feedback from interface. Could use filter examples. Cannot open pcap files (maybe restrict trial to 20 lines). cannot open it's own captured data, is a bug. Interface style is good. can't confirm it works on my nexus 7 so will not buy pro. Would like to see the next version!
I have a Nexus 4 with CM 11 and I can't save pcap files. Please fix it.

It tells "can not su". Worst message to tell something to user. At least use meaningful messages. If it can not do packet capture, why they have free trial version.
