The first two books opened were not as listed - Clive Cussler's book was a religious tract! The next effort resulted in a similar mismatch! Finally downloaded Hemingway's 'A Farewell to Arms',which was correctly titled. Use the app at your peril, and be prepared for surprises.

Nice look but the first book I searched for (the cover said Quantico by Greg Bear) loaded some 1930s pdf pages. Search fail. Load fail. Right out of the gate.

This app leaves out 90% of the books on Project Gutenberg's site. Don't bother downloading it. The user interface is nighwell useless and it doesn't put the books where other apps can find them.

I love the Gutebook app but I have a question. It appears that I should be able to download the download the books to read offline, even letting s download destination, but no book has doenloaded. I need to be online or the book can't be opened. Why?

I downloaded knowing that there wouldn't be anything recent due to copyright issues, but anyone familiar with Project Gutenburg should already know this. I do keep having to search for a book I am already reading if I shut my tablet/phone off for longer than 10 minutes which is annoying, and there isn't a way of either porting from phone to tablet (I suppose the addition of an account would help this.) or bookmarking where you are reading. But the access to books, clarity of scans and search features outweigh most criticisms. Yay for project Gutenburg!

It would be so much better if you could make night mode so it doesn't hurt your eyes staring at a bright screen trying to read. Other than that it's wonderful.

This app worked when others failed to download the book. It also merges nicely with Librivox.

Is now having database issues, titles shown download different books entirely wrong.

OK some titles may be confused but the everything else more than compensates. Wonderful.

Your pages constantly jump around and the app doesn't download the edition that I pick.Lack of stability is the worst...if ya'can't read it, what good is the app ?

Too slow on my phone. No way that I can scroll in between different chapters of my choice.

I love it idk about other people but that's their opinion by reading these books I'm sure of it... it'll help later on in life

There are no star wars books what is the point pig having an ebook app of there are no James Luceno books!!

I can't get one book

Don't know if there's been some updates, or if it's my new phone, but it's working much better than last time I tried it. I especially like the option of original pages or text. But, until more of the catalogue is available, I'll stick to downloading to google play books.

Okht! No adds on the way, a great collection,.. contains a lot of my favorite books, still hope you'd expand the collection, l would enjoy reading the english version of "Hansen's children " .. but it is a nightmare when you're offline ,.. l need some space for now and hope that you'll make it much better ... till that time.

Downloaded this as a tie-in with LibriVox (LibriVox has a button to download the ebook via Gutebooks) . THE BAD: ▪Author (H. Beam Piper) on LV not available on GB. ▪Categories are WAY too many, too specific, and too cluttered (even nesting into subcategories would help). ▪Reverse search from GB->LV gives fuzzy result . ▪No night mode or fonts change settings. THE GOOD: ▪Ability to choose edition. ▪Ability to view as text or pictures (scan). Liking other apps better.

Displays 1/4 of a page at a time. Takes 30 seconds to move to the next quarter of a page and has no useful means of finding a page - how is anyone ever going to read an entire book with more than 5 pages with this app???

You can't scroll without it jumping to the next page, you can't zoom in without it freaking out and flashing, you can't rotate without it going to the beginning. You just can't read on this reading app.

Its a great app and the library contains many great books. I gave it 4 stars because it can't open ebooks that you have downloaded from other sources.
