Western Food 85

Western Food 85 was born 13 years ago when Henry decided to start his own food stall after working for years at Werner’s Oven, Singapore’s first German restaurant run by his sister and brother-in-law. Since then, our signature dish the Crispy German Pork Knuckle has been very popular with local residents in Bedok as well as epicureans from all over.

Our Crispy Pork Knuckles uses only pork knuckles imported from Brazil and is marinated with the same recipe as Werner’s Oven ‘s which was named as one of Singapore’s Top 10 in 2011 by Epicure Asia magazine. Our unique serving in bit-sized chunks with chopsticks in a non-restaurant environment has led to excellent reviews bestowed on Western Food 85 by many food lovers (see their reviews ).

Aside the usual western fare like Chicken Chop, Pork shop, Fish ‘N” Chips etc. , you can also find popular Peranakan dishes like Balachan Fish, Curry Chicken, Ikan Goreng.and many others. While Henry is in charge of the western fare, Henry’s Nonya wife helms the Peranakan dishes.
