Has happened in the past too. The sound is available only for SF station, not for DC or NJ. I have Google Nexus and off late it has stopped working. Uninstalled and reinstalled, still no change Off late, most of the time some if the stations do not even work anymore !!

There is no effective switch off cntrol I had to stop the apps. forcibly. Can u not design a off & on button ,so that it can be user friendly.

I ain't spending my 4g data to listen to ads only. Of the 45 minutes i listened, there was no program at all. The programs on their NJ radio do not sync with the app and thre is no continuity in the programs most times. The app itself is quite ho hum with looks like a psychic ad than a radio station

Sprint Note II on 4.1.2. Sounds works for Google Music, rdio, etc. Seems like it only seems to work on WiFI and 4G. A bold assumption that people have 4G.
