Blinden Bijbel

Deze Bijbelsoftware is speciaal bedoeld voor blinden en slechtzienden. U kunt met deze software volledige hoofdstukken uit de Bijbel (per Bijbelboek) laten voorlezen, dan wel geselecteerde verzen. Er kan worden gekozen uit de stem van een persoon die de tekst voorleest of een synthetische stem (de standaard ingestelde TTS stem op uw Android).

Deze app kan op twee manieren worden bediend:
1. Met gesproken opdrachten.
2. Door middel van veegbewegingen ("gestures").

De eerste manier biedt de zeer krachtige mogelijkheid om doormiddel van spraak een Bijbelboek, hoofdstuk of reeks verzen direct te openen en te laten voorlezen. Er wordt gebruik gemaakt van de geweldige spraakherkenningsfunctionaliteit van Google. Raak het scherm aan (u hoort een toontje) en zeg het woord "Zoek" gevolgd door hetgeen u zoekt.
Voorbeeld: "Zoek hemelvaart" of "Zoek Genesis". Er wordt dan gezocht in de titels van de Bijbelboeken en hoofdstukken.

U kunt ook de titel van een Bijbelboek direct zeggen, bijvoorbeeld "Exodus", waarna een lijst met de Hoofdstukken wordt geopend. Als u de titel van een hoofdstuk weet kunt u die ook inspreken, bijvoorbeeld "De Tuin van Eden". Het betreffende hoofdstuk wordt dan direct voorgelezen!

De tweede manier om een Bijbelgedeelte te vinden is door de veegbewegingen te maken dan wel een hoofdfunctie te selecteren door het scherm voor langere tijd aan te raken. Als u het scherm kort aanraakt kunt u gesproken opdrachten geven. Door het scherm langer aan te raken (tussen 1 en 5 seconde) kunt u één van de zes hoofdfuncties selecteren, zijnde:

1. "Bijbel-index": Selecteer een Bijbelboek, hoofdstuk en/of versnummer uit de getoonde lijst.
2. "Bijbel keuze": Kies de gewenste Bijbel (1 van de 18) uit de getoonde lijst.
3. "Instellingen": Verander hier de tekstgrootte en tekstkleur van het tekstveld (zie 5)
4. "Toon Tekst" : De kale tekst van het zojuist geselecteerde Bijbel gedeelte wordt nu getoond.
5. "Help": Opent de gebruiksaanwijzing.
6. "Afsluiten": Sluit deze "Sprekende Bijbel" App.

Houdt uw vinger op het scherm net zolang totdat u de gewenste hoofdfunctie hoort en laat dan het scherm direct los.

Onder "instellingen" kunt u deze software naar eigen smaak configureren. Dit betreft o.a.
- De grootte van de letters.
- De kleur van de letters.

U kunt ook "Instellingen" of "Voorkeuren" zeggen (of typen) om deze instellingenlijst te openen.

Ad.4:
Normaliter toont de Sprekende Bijbel" een webpagina van het NBG. Ten behoeve van slechtzienden is het ook mogelijk om de kale tekst van het Bijbel gedeeltje (groot) op het scherm te tonen.

Ad.5:
In deze mode wordt deze gebruiksaanwijzing hardop voorgelezen.

U kunt ook "Help" of "Gebruiksaanwijzing" zeggen (of typen) om deze te openen.

Ook kunt u "Lees voor" of "voorlezen" zeggen om een eerder geselecteerde, reeds op het scherm zichtbare tekst opnieuw te laten voorlezen.
Voorts kent de software o.a. alle tien geboden. Zeg bijvoorbeeld: "wat is het eerste gebod".

Om de sprekende Bijbel te laten praten adviseren we u om een Nederlandstalige TTS stem op uw Android mobiele telefoon of tablet PC te installeren. Immers heeft Google "Pico" geen Nederlandse stem.
Goede Nederlandse stemmen zijn in de Google Play store te vinden van o.a. Svox ("Jan" en "Lena"), Acapela ("Daan" en "Jasmijn") en van Cereproc ("Anne"). Ook Google heeft in 2014 een gratis Nederlandse TTS stem beschikbaar gesteld.
