Trauma Responder

Trauma Responder(TM) uses the Android phone's built-in accelerometer to detect when a "traumatic event" has occurred to you while carrying the phone. If an "event" has been detected, and Trauma Responder is not deactivated in time, then phone calls are automatically placed sequentially to up to four numbers (including 911) and your prerecorded speech requesting assistance is played to the recipient.

Trauma Responder(TM) is setup to monitor for "free-falling" situations such as falling off a ladder, or more dangerous falls such as falling off a roof where serious injury and unconsciousness may result.

Accelerometer monitoring may also be set to evaluate strong and rapid decelerations as with an automobile crash. The deceleration vs time algorithm used is characteristic of data published for airbag deployment.

The free-fall monitoring distance is set by the user for values between 1' and 30'.
The gravitational sensitivity to free-falling can also be set between 0 (true free-fall) and 32 ft/s^2 (no free fall).

Your own recorded speech or a synthetic voice can be used to alert the recipient that you need help due to a medical emergency.
