Identifying the right goal value:
We help you determine your correct goal value based on inflation and growth forecasts from EIU.com (The Economist Intelligence Unit), an authority in financial modelling and databank coupled with our own analysis.

Goal-wise risk appetite:
This input ensures your investments are not exposed to a higher degree of risk than what you can afford to take for your goal. We follow a goal wise approach in considering risk profile. Each goal can have its own risk profile. For example - you may choose to keep a conservative approach for your Child’s education and an aggressive approach for your retirement.

Years left to goal:
The time you have to achieve your goal influences the kind of products suitable for your investments. For example - if you want to buy a car in next 3 years, investing in a pure equity portfolio can produce extreme results. This is because of equity returns though substantially higher in the long run, are volatile in shorter time frames, so we recommend a substantially higher allocation to debt funds even for the most aggressive risk profile.

Asset Allocation:
A combination of the risk profile and years left to goal is used to determine the right balance of various asset classes to invest in. We follow a reducing risk methodology which is backed by a majority of Financial Planning theories. This means that as you reach closer to your goals, we make sure that your investment risk keeps reducing in line with the investment objective.

Finding the right investment amount:
The key parameters above help determine the right amount of investment necessary for achieving your goal. These parameters are changing continuously year after year. For ex - Inflation and growth rates are both going to reduce as the economy matures and the same has to be made a part of the consideration for calculating the right investment amount. Care has been taken to calculate the same based on scientific forecasts and reasonable assumptions wherever necessary.

Investing in the right funds:
We invest your money in carefully selected mutual funds. These funds are selected on the basis of our proprietary selection algorithm. To test the efficiency of our algorithm, we back-tested this on the past 15 years to make sure that it works. In the run of tests, our back-tested portfolio generated a CAGR of 18% for a balanced portfolio of equity and debt (50% each). As compared to Nifty (12%) and FD(8%) this was considerably higher. More importantly, the worst 3 years of Nifty had negative returns of (-51%, -24%, -15%) whereas for portfolio based on our algorithm, it were (-23%, -7%, -6%) In simple words, Rs 1 lac invested for the last 15 years in Nifty would have yielded Rs 6 lac, and our back-tested portfolio would have yielded 12 lac , that too for less than half the risk. In the same period, FD or pure debt would have yielded 3 lac only.
