Fantastic all around. Tried with ssh, sftp, putty, got into lollipop 5.1 noooo problem :) pulled backups, the whole thing. If you are new-ish to linux, just type carefully commands (follow *proper* syntax) and enjoy. We rarely get SOLID products like this. I will definitely buy more from these solid developers....

Realising I was using SSH droid so much I decided to buy it. Re-installing SSH droid also fixed an error that had occurred when upgrading to Lollipop. Seems to work well now.

Please release an update for Lollipop. I get this error: "Cannot generate RSA key: error: only position independent executables (PIE) are supported." This is a paid app, and not being able to run it on Lollipop is very disappointing.

Garbage doesn't quit when I press quit? Why does your app insist on still running in the background after I tell it to quit? This kind of malpractice by developers on Android of secretly having their apps do something hidden in background while pretending to quit needs to be stamped out... What is your app doing taking 1 to 3% wake lock?

Application stops working when upgraded to Lollipop. Service starts and get closed instantly. I'm using the paid version. Please fix and I'll give it 5 stars

Background service keep running after stop the app, pls fix this. Rolling back to the previous version.

The program starts, but my logcat shows that ICS is ignoring the 'old API'. Program starts, password is set (simple, no complex characters), shows that it starts on the interface with no errors, my computer can ping it, but PuTTY can't connect to it. My NG is unlocked, and rooted, but still running the stock ROM. Works GREAT on my OG DROID running CM7, and most recently Liquid Smooth 2.3.7), and on my ViewSonic Gtablet running GtabComb Bought and tried the QuickSSH server and had much the same issue as above. I still gave it five stars because I realize that the Galaxy Nexus (CDMA LTE) came out two days ago (in the USA 2011/12/15), and people with the new GN need to know that there are still issues with some apps. **UPDATE**: Downloaded the latest version this morning (06 January 2012), and everything works. It's nice to have this program as an alternate way to push files to your phone. Thanks again for fixing whatever was busted.

I once had trouble connecting clients to my Galaxy Nexus, but ever since Android 4.0.4 (build IMM76K), this app works like a charm. Much needed, as MTP doesn't often play nice on Linux.

Free version works as expected but it doesn't want an adfree system. Using it as a cable replacement as MTP doesn't work well with my box - this paid version seems to be more stable than the free version

However I'd give it 5 stars if it had 1. Integration with android openvpn client 2. Ability to terminate server cleanly inside app (not just stop)

Well, this is annoying. The update didn't bring anything new, but did reset my configuration. Nothing was broken, everything works like it always did, so I won't downrate. Still the best Android SSHd (with GUI) and the only one that is fully functional. Works flawlessly on all my devices.

After updating, the configuration from the old app wasn't ported to the new one. I lost all my private keys and the port number to which I used to connect. Please do inform the user that the update was going to do this, instead of misleading us to believe that the update was going to migrate everything smoothly.

This no-frills server does what one expects from an SSHD: no more, no less. You can start it automatically and forget it exists until you need to connect. Tunneling also works great (unlike many other implementations).

This update fixed allot of problems

I love this app and use it almost daily for some reason or another. I would like to have the ability to choose an auto-start option when connected to a certain wifi network.

I have galaxy s3 . It works. I have some trouble with install not working. But force stop and clear data seemed to work. Sometimes it won't stop. Works great. I think it may be my power saver app conflicting some way With WiFi. Thanks

Overall a very solid app. Very easy to use, and a good speed compared to at least one other app I had a go with. Also supports sftp which is handy! The only thing that puts off 5 stars is the fact that shutting down the server seems rather buggy.

New version lost my configuration. This should never happen. Downgraded using Titanium Backup until this is fixed!

The application works as described. I was able to configure the SSH server to accept 'public key only' authentication. SSH and SFTP work. Somewhere inside the application uses an open source SSH server, I think this is an advantage. I could have configured the open source SSH server but I do not want to root my device before the warranty expires, that's why I bought the SSHDroid. Рекомендую. Сервер работает, в том числе SFTP. Внутри - испытанный опенсорсовый dropbear сервер, что хорошо. Получилось настроить вход 'по открытому ключу' с запретом входа по паролю, это хорошо. Можно было бы сконфигурировать dropbear SSH сервер самому, но не хочется рутовать телефон, пока на гарантии.
