Highly recommend this as a way to make your Android device accessible as an FTP server. I got this up and running with my phone connected to my WiFi network, and using SyncBack on my PC I have synchronised gigabytes of files between the two. Very convenient for keeping all the files on my phone in sync with what I've been working on on my PC. EDIT: Dropped 1 star because no External SD Card writing in Lollipop. ES Explorer can do it in their FTP Server, so I'm sure you can! Please update :)

Logging works sporadically. More verbose logging would be welcome, also.

However it seems to only work properly on port 21 so make sure your rooted. Otherwise an amazing app

It does the job right! I was sick and tired of not being able to connect my GS3 with USB (running an Ubuntu box) and this tool made this task as simple as to drag and drop. I was able to transfer over 15GB in around 4 hours ant not single file was drop. Great job

Also use it to easily backup files from the MicroSD card in my phone to my PC without having to remove the card from the phone.

Just transferred 3.5GB of movies and pictures to/from my Incredible/CM7.1 using SyncBackSE at 3MBps (yes, megabytes) without a hitch. This supports MDTM (force set time -- required to sync files accurately), is root-aware, supports multiple users, and is quick to start and stop. Overall I'm quite impressed. Bravo. As I mentioned in my review of SwiFTP, it is no longer supported as of mid-2010, was choking on dir/filenames with some chars ("&", for example), and was generally working worse as time went on.

Easily does 3MB/s over WiFi. Tried a few freeware FTP servers, but none were as good as this one. This one also supports root, so I can use the default port 21 for FTP (some clients I use require this) It's the same good old PureFTPd, just on Android.

Prob. the more better ftp servers out there. Very reliable and stable. All the features you should need for a ftp server. Multi. user and chroot etc.
