Bedsider Reminders for Android
It never sends any reminder regarding the pill. What's the point of an app to remind for the pill if it won't work? I liked it better when I got texts, at least I got them everyday. Fix this app and maybe I'll give a better review.
What's the point? I've never gotten a reminder. No reminders makes this useless. Please bring back the original format.
Was great at first but then stopped giving the notifications. I'm a little behind on my stuff now which is the whole reason for the structured reminders. I can't even open the app anymore, it just crashes. Wish they would bring the texts back, those were better than the app even when it worked.
The most important part of being on birth control is taking it at the correct time. I use the ring and for two months I have not received a reminder to put it back in. Pretty important step to birth control if you ask me. I miss the text messages, at least those worked. UPDATE: This time it didn't remind me to take BC out! Uninstalling this now
I set up the time I wanted a reminder but the app doesn't give me any notifications. I much preferred getting a text every day because I'm guaranteed to miss pills with this app because it doesn't remind me to take them. UPDATE: was working for a while but now the app constantly crashes and once again doesn't give notifications. Even when it was working, you had to open the app every time and it was very annoying. Not discreet at all. Text messages I could at least pretend came from a friend or something.
When it works, it's great! I love the clever reminders. However, since the texts have stopped and I've had to rely on this app, I've been reminded maybe half the time (thankfully, I remember on my own most of the time, but it's usually an hour or two late). I love Bedsider and its goal, but they really need to work out the kinks. I just wish they had done so BEFORE they discontinued the text messages and forced the app on everyone. If I consistently get reminded, I will update my review!
I loved the texts and the app is a great replacement. I used to have a problem with the notifications, but once I turned off App Optimization, the notifications come everyday! If you want to edit the notification pop-ups, you can do that through your phone settings. Great idea and great app! Love Bedsider!! UPDATE: glitching so uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Please work on it, I love Bedsider..
It was working fine. Now the notifications stopped which was not a big deal for me since I always check on the calendar. But now it keeps crashing for the past week and I don't even know when to take, remove or pick up my next birth control.
I echo what almost everyone else has said. I thought the idea of being able to snooze was a neat feature except the notification doesn't work half the time. I relied on this to remember to take my pill and now I'm missing days. The texts were better because they actually arrived every day. Will be Uninstalling and using something else. Disappointed.
This app forces you to open the app to dismiss the alarm. The reminder is discrete, but if you have to open the app to the brightly colored clever message then what is the point? I much preferred the text messages. I am often away from my phone, but I could receive the text message on my gear fit to remind me. I guess I will just have to set an alarm.
I miss the texts. This app doesn't really work. It's just a fun message to read after I'm late taking my pill for the third time in a week... I'll be finding a different app or setting my own alarm.
The text option was perfect. Then they forced everyone to download the app and the app is just trash. It sometimes doesn't give notification which sucks if you're relying on it, and it crashes often. You have to delete, then download it again for it to start working again. It needs a lot of work.
Reminded me the first day after I set reminders and then it stopped after that. I've ended up missing pills with my busy schedule because I didn't get reminded. I relied on it and it did not work. The text messages were way better.
So I never rate apps. I let the app speak for itself. But this app sucks big time. It crashes all the time. Never sends me a notification to take my pill on tine, sometimes missing days on days before it will remind me to take my pill. I miss the text messages. Least they always came in.
This app is completely useless! I downloaded it because they decided to get rid of the text reminders (big mistake!!) and so I thought that the app would remind me like my texts had everyday for the past four years...SIKE!! I got the reminder twice and that was after setting it up twice to try and fix the problem. I'm disappointed that I have to set a noisy phone alarm to remind me now. Guess we can't get everything we want in life
I never get reminders to take my pill with the app. If the essential aspect of the app doesn't work, why would you force people to use it by discontinuing the text reminders? I'll just set an alarm on my phone. At least I know that will work.
This is a great app when it works.. It will alert a few days in a row and then nothing. They just stop. I don't understand why they forced everyone into the app when the texts ALWAYS did the trick. Why force something that doesn't even work correctly. Bad move on your part Bedsider..maybe you'll get this problem resolved soon.
I miss the text reminders so much. I don't like having to open the app to dismiss the reminder but I dealt with it. But now it doesn't even work. No reminder at all and when I try to open the app itself it crashes immediately.
The entire reason I chose bedsider was because they texted you. It was easy, convenient, and non obtrusive. I would see their number in the text subject and, without even having to touch the phone, I'd be reminded to take the pill. But now here's an app that doesn't work and disrupts me while I'm doing things on my phone. And then at times it does the complete opposite, giving me no notification for the past couple of days. Overall it's a very clunky app that I feel is a downgrade from their prior method.
All of a sudden, I stop getting notifications. Then, whenever I go to open the app, it force closes on me as soon as it opens. I prefer the text messages a lot more.
It doesn't even work. The text messages were great. I downloaded this once it came out and waited for it to start working. Uninstalled and reinstalled and re entered my time for reminder and it still doesn't work. Very disappointed. Want texts back.
I love it when it works. It hasn't given me a birth control reminder for the last 3 days. Attempted to open the app just now and it crashes immediately. Please fix! I loved it when it worked.
I really liked the text messages that I used to receive. I always saw the text. Don't always see the app. Though that could be due to the fact that it has stopped working. Would definitely use if they would re-enable text alerts. Until then I'll be deleting.
Was working great for maybe one cycle. Then started glitching and didn't send reminder for the next cycle, reset all info and app. Now it's completely not working. Only reason I was able to stay on track was because of my original calendar app. Wish y'all would fix this problem, seriously, it's a great inconvenience.
I never got any reminders and I can't even open the app. It immediately crashes on launch! The text messages were the best thing and should be brought back.
I have had this app for two months and have received zero reminders. This app does not work at all for me and is a waste of space.
Really liked the texts because it always reminded me to put my ring in or take it out. Lucky I know that I put my ring in the Sunday after my period because I didn't even get a reminder from the app today. It was great the first month I had it and now it doesn't work.
Maybe this is just a problem for me, but my app has completely stopped working. It was fine until that point. It's been like this for a few weeks..
Its not working at all. Ive missed my pill twice this week because of this! I rarely miss my pill like once every so many months in the past with the texts!
The app just stopped working. The texts were much better. I'm looking for a different service now.
The texts were better and more consistent. I haven't had a message in a week. Also, when I go to open it, it doesn't work and is forced closed....oh well....
The old SMS texts from Bedsider were great; this app either works if I program it every morning for the same night, or not at all. Great concept, fun links, awful program.
This is kind of the type of app where if it's not working there is simply no point. I think you have a lot of people relying on it to function and I just realized I've never received a reminder. I miss the texts.
Text messages were wayyy better. Very inconvenient.
I used to have Bedsider Text Messages which sent a text message about 90% of the time and about 90% on time. Since downloading this app since the text messaging was discontinued, I have received a reminder about 5% of the time. NOT COOL. I have a bad memory and I used to rely on the Bedsider, but now if I do I'll probably end up getting pregnant, and my boyfriend and I can't rely on Bedsider to help us pay for the baby. Unfortunately I will have to uninstall this app and just use an obnoxious alarm..
Stopped getting any reminders and haven't been able to open the app in weeks, it crashes everytime. Really don't know what the developers were thinking. Don't fix it if it ain't broke, bring back the texts!
Haven't received a reminder since i've set up this app. I liked the text messages BECAUSE it was a quick reminder in my hectic days.
Don't bother downloading. It's worthless. It only does the reminders for a week and then it stops. I do not why they bothered changing it. Bring back the texting reminder!
Need to fix the fact that it stops reminding after a week. I relied on this since this was a texting reminder and this clearly is not working out right now.... Fix please

This app stopped reminding me to take my pill after 2 days. I tried to reinstall it and it did the same thing. Thank goodness I remembered those days.
