Digital Photo Frame Premium for Android
Great app. The only feature it's missing is auto rotation.
Doesn't work with SD card and pictures skip and sometimes wont move on so displays same picture for minutes.. seems that no development/bug fixing is taking place so i feel a bit ripped off as i bought the full product.
From Galaxy Tab S3 (Android 7.0) Chromecast shows a screen saying "Photoframe Slideshow" but no slides appear.
Look no further...this is the digital photo frame display app no other compares to. Android tv allows beautiful displays on flat screen tv's of any size featuring this app. I'm still praying developers will add a 2 pic side by side in the layout settings. Any other app is a waste of time...BUY this one as I have and help this deserving development team. It's well worth it!!! You'll toss your current expensive store bought digital photo frame in the trash.
Update to below. Working ok on another device Android 6.0. Crashes some times and needs to be reset. -1 star for that. Quality of photo display is good. INITIAL REVIEW: I tried the free app and thought it has potential. So I purchased the app for the other features and it worked great. But within minutes it started doing it's own thing. Photos just flicker at irregular intervals...at times they stay for 15s, as set, and then down to less than a second. Hard on the eyes that way Lol. Tried setting the delay to 1 min. but that doesn't work either. Going to settings showed that the settings changed, so I reset them. The settings changed again, again and again... Rebooted the tablet and same thing is happening. Sometimes it auto-starts at reboot and sometimes it doesn't. Going to the website of the developer shows last blog in 2014. Email hasn't been responded to either. Hope this review gets their attention. If this can be fixed I'd love it. But if not I wasted some money. Hope to hear from the developer real soon. This is on an ASUS tablet running Android 4.4.2 1 star at present but if these glitches can be fixed I'd easily give it 5
It's ok but: 1. You can't rotate photos. 2. When you hard delete or share a photo the slide show needs to be re-started.
I am paying for this app because I think it has great potential, but there's still a way to go. Simple, no-frills photo slideshow - I love that. Transition time can be set to hours, which is fantastic, haven't found any others that let you do that. Interface is a tad clunky, taps don't always work. But best of all, it hasn't been crammed full of bells and whistles, so it's lightweight and low-power. Turns my old Samsung tablet into a great digital photo frame.
Love this app..have it running on 2 old Android tablets streaming photos from a WD MyCloud and my family are memorized with all the memories! Love that it displays the photo taken date also to remind you of just how old you are getting!! Question to the developer: Any chance of an IOS version of this? (Yes i realise this is an Android app store but it doesnt hurt to ask!) I have an old iPad that is crying out to be added to the party but there are no IOS apps that come close to this! Thanks for the app!
Best slideshow app I've found so far that display pictures from a network drive, and it mostly works. It lets you navigate to an SMB share and start a slideshow. But it's buggy as hell, images flicker, transition on top of each other, appear and disappear instantly, ignoring the transition settings. The Developer seems to have abandoned the app. The settings screen is a joke, sometimes 3 or 4 duplicates of the same options within the same screen. So far it's the only slideshow that allows random smb photos in a slideshow so it gets a generous 3/5, but honestly if I find anything even slightly reliable I'll switch apps. Settings the app as default daydream crashes. Trying to set the app to auto launch with the same configuration (i.e launch a slideshow displaying all photos in a set folder) is impossible. Developer, please start updating this app with bugfixes.
was looking for a pic frame fetching pics from the SMB server. i can live with a UI not that intuitive, Ads are non-intrusive, nevertheless bought ad-free version
Please continue developing this app. Also implementation/improvement of the Ken Burns effect would differentiate the app from the rest of the crowd. Keep rocking! Good work.
Everything is back to normal. Thanks for releasing a quick update to an awesome app
Love it
Very Disappointed. I purchased the premium app for the Ken Burns effect. Turns out this is not true Ken Burns as it does not work with photos of scenery. The Ken Burns used here is tired to "faces" detection for the zoom and pan effect.
No support for multiple folders :-( This might be worked around if you could have it cycle through all "recent" slideshows (1 folder each), but that's also not supported :-( The interface is confusing - there are checkmarks next to all my folders, but they apparently have no impact on what's displayed when you hit start. I can't find any way to stop the current slideshow and start a different/new one, besides restarting the app (which doesn't even work if you set it to auto-start the most recent, which you then have to disable, create a new slideshow, and then re-enable). I also wish you could exclude subfolders matching certain patterns (ie *.pano/ for source images that have been stitched into one).
I'm now begging you to do a 2 picture side by side layout. I did buy the premium version and continue to tell friends about it. I do love the app very much.... Thanks for the fix. (Android 5.01 version)
Now finds the server but the screen is frozen and does not allow any selection.still not working.how about a rollback as there was nothing wrong before faulty update. Now fixed, so app is V.Good
I love this application, which I've been using for years on an old HP Touchpad running Cyanogenmod (4.4.4) The best part is the flexibility of what it can do: * local media * any form of cloud service * LAN, upnp, etc... * Various tweaks to slideshows I use it for my personal photos, but you could use this for a kiosk at a trade show or other professional uses. Really any tablet can run this, and some of the nicer older models HP Touchpad, Asus Transformer, etc... have nice IPS screens.
Thanks for fixing full screen
I think this is the best digital frame software out there. The developer is very responsive in fixing any issues that may occur. I've been using it on an outdated Motorola Xoom that I've dedicated as a high-end digital frame. (You might have noticed you can't buy good digital frames anymore.)

Seriously, I don't typically write reviews but I've had a gut full of paying for rubbish that just doesn't work. When I try to look for a network drive I select LAN as per the tutorial and the app tells me that the network is not connected which is defiantly not the case.... Another few dollars down the drain.
This app works great for me scanning my photos and displays them, great app.
Love it
Highly configurable multi-source player that works well. I installed the free version, which was great, then 10 minutes later bought the pro version. £2.50 well spent!

Just got the paid version...works awesome with my Android TV on my Samsung. Pics look amazing. I would love an update adding a side by side 2 pictures option...more transition effects... and wish you could eliminate the only effect I don't care for...the page peel...or ability to select effects you want or not in random effects mode. Otherwise I'm having an absolute blast with it and am dedicating a 32" Samsung as a digital photo frame using it. Great job and much thanks!!!
App
"Tap to view single photo" (to pause a picture during a slideshow) doesn't work - pls, pls fix & this will be 5* App. I even purchased the premium version to see if it's resolved, but sadly not. This App does everything else I need. It's an excellent digital photo viewer, the best out there. It incorporates with Dropbox & is really easy to use, with great transition options & customisable features. Pls fix last bug!!!
Love it
Would constantly switch back and forth between app and facebook in an endless loop and never load photos. I want my money back, it was that bad.
Bad - Bad -Bad
Every thing you want in a slideshow app. What more can I say.
Just what I needed.
Works well
You should have option to display by newest and oldest photos.
I had some issues with a previous version of this. I think it was trying to cache a ton of pictures and was just hanging. The current version works perfectly!!! It is exactly what I was looking for and happily upgraded to the ad-free version. Thanks much to the devs.
Not working.

When it ran the pictures looked good and the transitioning was smooth. But now the app crashes on all my devices upon starting. Multiple devices types and Android os and they all act the same. Uninstalled and wiped app memory cash with it still not working. Don't buy till it's fixed
