Met werk.kleur.rijk heeft u als werkgever, HR medewerker of leidinggevende een rijke bron aan informatie bij de hand over culturele diversiteit op de werkvloer. Stel uw cultuurprofiel als leidinggevende samen en vergelijk met de Vlaamse gemiddelden. A.h.v. videofragmenten getuigen zowel Vlaamse leidinggevenden als werknemers met een migratieachtergrond over de voordelen en voorwaarden van culturele diversiteit. Ze bieden concrete tips & tricks om er een succesverhaal van te maken. Concrete cases bieden hulp om moeilijke situaties op de werkvloer op te lossen of te vermijden.

- Test hoe “Vlaams” uw managementstijl is. Bekijk uw persoonlijk cultuurprofiel en vergelijk met de Vlaamse gemiddelden.
- Vergelijk kenmerken van enkele culturen en hoe deze leiding geven beïnvloeden.
- Animatiefilmpjes over cultuur, stereotypes en vooroordelen en een grappig absurd filmpje over stereotypes.

Deze app is uiterst nuttig als u
- vragen heeft bij de praktische haalbaarheid van culturele diversiteit
- werk wilt maken van meer diversiteit op de Vlaamse werkvloer
- geconfronteerd wordt met meer diversiteit op het werk en hierbij niet altijd weet hoe dit zo goed mogelijk aan te pakken.

De inhoud van de app richt zich zowel naar situaties waarin leiding gegeven wordt aan midden- en hoger geschoolden als aan lager geschoolden. Er wordt uitgegaan van een cultuurcontrastieve aanpak waarbij de Vlaamse cultuur met de Turkse cultuur wordt vergeleken.

Er werden ook leermodules ontwikkeld voor werkzoekenden van (Turkse) origine met een midden- en hooggeschoold profiel en voor nieuwkomers om hem te ondersteunen bij het opstarten van een uitdagende carrière.


Info over het project?

De werk.kleur.rijk smartphone app is ontstaan in het kader van het ESF-project “Culturele diversiteit op de Vlaamse Werkvloer” gecoördineerd door het Centrum Toegepaste Linguïstiek – UHasselt, in samenwerking met de VDAB.


Waarom?

In Vlaanderen zijn de werkloosheidscijfers van allochtone bevolkingsgroepen hoger dan het Europese gemiddelde. Mensen van Turkse origine zijn de grootste migrantengroep in West-Europa en ook in Vlaanderen vormen zij de belangrijkste groep werkzoekenden met een origine buiten de EU, na werkzoekenden met Marokkaanse migratieachtergrond.
Ook midden- en hooggeschoolde allochtone kandidaten komen moeilijker aan werk. Dit is des te pijnlijker aangezien aanwezige specifieke talenten en competenties niet benut worden.

This app is extremely useful if you

The content of the app is aimed at both situations where guidance is given to middle and higher educated as to lower skilled. It assumes a culture contrastive approach of Flemish culture is compared to the Turkish culture.

Learning modules were developed for job seekers (Turkish) origin with a small and highly skilled profile and for newcomers to assist him at the start of a challenging career.


About the project?

The werk.kleur.rijk smartphone app was created as part of the ESF project "Cultural Diversity in the Workplace Flemish" coordinated by the Center for Applied Linguistics - University of Hasselt, in collaboration with the VDAB.


Why?

In Flanders, the unemployment rate of immigrant population are higher than the European average. People of Turkish origin are the largest immigrant group in Western Europe and also in Flanders, they are the most important group of job seekers with an origin outside the EU, after jobseekers with Moroccan migration background.
Also small and highly skilled immigrant candidates are difficult to work. This is all the more painful since existing specific talents and skills are not utilized.
