Balto Speed Reading

Not the best at pulling in content. There's only a few shortcut to apps (like kindle) but support seems low. No support for kindles KFX format killed 40% of the books available on my phone and the remaining 60% are not available due to DRM blocking them. Copying and pasting text isn't a very efficient way to get content into the program. Couldn't find any of the google books I've purchased thats on my phone. I hope support improves. Need to make more content available.

Paid for this as though it was exactly what I needed, now it can't parse any webpages in, they all get stuck half way through :( edit: improved (did something) when I reset display settings weirdly, but still having trouble loading large articles. It would be great if it was reliable

I purchased the full version. The speed reading mode is perfect. Tried various app's and this one is best. I took off one star because the column reading mode is not as well developed and I often like to use it when I tire of speed reading. For example column mode does not have many features and has a few bugs: - Reading spot is lost when modes switched. - Sometimes the page goes blank and you have to flip to refresh. (Both of these bugs are made worse as the pages are long and its a ton of work to get back to spot in page) - There is no auto scroll - No option to change the way pages are shown (long column or page flip)

Can't load books. When i choose to load new book, app crashes. Come on guys. Make it work. Fixed! THANK YOU

My favourite app so far for speed reading although despite buying the paid for version I can't get the ORP to work for me which is hugely frustrating as that was my main reason for buying it.

It is the best ebook out there using RSVP, since it offers many features while staying user friendly. I have got an advise for the developers: you can add the option to see the next paragraph as continuation of the current text (in different colour if needed), so that a long pause is not needed to adapt to the next paragraph's beginning.

Helps me get through long documets faster. Retention is not as good as reading normally, however I am able to get the main ideas if I'm in a time crunch.

After tweaking and testing the many different settings I was able to find the setup that worked best for me. Well worth the cost for the full version. My only suggestion would be to add some gesture controls while your in reading mode. Such as: Two finger swipe back to jump back a specified number of words and replay them. Or three finger swipe back to jump back and replay a specified number of words at half speed.

This app is GREAT! If you're interested in Spritz, and you have ebooks or Kindle and want to speed up your​ reading, this is the best tool. One of the best app purchases I've made in ages!

Can't even load the text, the app crashes immediately.

Needs few bugs sorted out. Has potential. For now, keeping fingers crossed.

Due to the recent update, this app is now working on my Note 5 and has returned to its place as #1 RSVP reader available. No other apps (and I've tried most of them) come even close to Balto. Highly recommended!

I have used this app on a couple phones but now with a note 5 that does not have an SD card I cannot load any text the emulated folders are empty if I try from the program and if I try to open from my files the phone says their is no program to open the file with. Will make 5 star if fixed. I love this app if it will work again.

I love it just the way it is, very customizable themes. Love the fact that I can even use my own fonts. I never had issues loading files because I convert all filetypes to simply txt in notepad. I will not update to the latest versions however in fear that I might lose out on my preset settings and features.

Balto let's you completely customize how long of pauses there are for words. I like short pauses for punctuation, and longer pauses for names and such. It sucks that the devs are getting in trouble with Spritz though, because this app is way better than their app. :(

Nice toolset of delay options, long battery live, support of popular formats. And of course it has fast Speed. I like it

I love this app. I use it daily, and I have seen results. Its the only reading app you need. One feature that could use improvement is the increments you can move up in the wpm settings. Sometimes a 50 wpm jump is too much at once, so maybe increments of 25 could be better.

Best e-reader app I have found, but needs the ability to copy/highlight/share text in book mode and to add bookmarks. At the moment I have to switch to another app each time I need to do this.

I can relax when reading with this app. I more easily get to the meat of a message. It's also be very relaxing to read novels etc. 600 wpm is easy. 750 with comprehension is more of a challenge but I enjoy it.

Help...app hangs when i change the settings for the # of words to cluster/chunk... Also hangs while its "parsing"? Any advice?

The free version is fantastic. I use it so much I figured I'd invest $2 and see what the pro offers. I can change font size and position and that alone was worth it.

Can no longer load books. Please fix.

Very customizable and stable, works equally well for web pages and PDF files.

Nice app. A great way to speed up your reading speed, even when doing reading outside of this app.

Love the concept. I ride a bus and use it to read on my commute. makes bumping around a little more bearable. I like all the features offered. The UI could be cleaned up a little. My main reason for giving this 3 stars is that the app hangs when I try to load a bookmark. Just freezes and says "parsing text." I hope the developer has the resources to fix this soon.
