The BEST Photographic Light Meter
This is an application for photographers to measure the amount of light.
It reproduces a handheld digital incident light meter and you can use to adjust your camera for a precise and ideal exposure.
You get a reading in f-stops or shutter speed and after you can change values with VOL +/- buttons.
It uses two different kinds of measurement: frontal light sensor(if present) or back phone's camera.
It works fine on Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy SIII
Attention!! not all phones have the frontal light sensor
Now with depth of field DOF and FLASH range calculator!!
This easy-to-use FLASH calculator allows you to input a variety of variables, for example guide number GN, so that via a simple calculation photographers can determine the max distance of your subject

ISO 5-3200
f-stop 1.0-64
Lux 0-200000 (depends on Phone)
cal. 2.3 Nexus, 1.5 SIII

Useless.. Bad menu design.. Bad controls..

On Moto Razr M, after tapping on menu dots, app crashes. Needs update to include newer cameras (Nikon D5200 & D5300). Very useful tool to quickly get a light meter reading and then adjust for exposure time, aperture or ISO. Maybe not pro level, but for me it's much better than spending $300 or more on a light meter.

I have the old Samsung Note 1 with Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) and everything is 100%. (I just wish I knew what different choosing the different camera options made!) Terrific app!

It crashesh all the time on my SamSung Note II. It doesnt change F stops or Shutter speed when you change ISO. Light meter should be able to read light... this one doesn't. I want my refund!!! Sorry mate but this is not good app....

This is a great app and work well on my Galaxy S2, however I had an issue with it on my S3. Contacted the developer and had a response the next day and within the week had a fix. The update works gret on the S3 now and I can truly say, even if you have an issue, don't write a bad review. Contct the developer first, you will bee surprised.

Initially it confused me but after a while, I figured it out and it's very accurate with my Galaxy S2!

As a cheap alternative to a professional light meter its actually not bad, i like the fact that you can tell it what camera you are using and the help with flash settings is useful. The only down side for me (Galaxy Note) is that it seems to make the phone unresponsive even if you come out of the app. Also its actually not that much more effective than the light meter built into my camera.
