About WiFi Key Recovery (needs root)

** You need root to use this application.
** You need to have connected to the network in the past.
** This app cannot "hack" into an unknown/new network.

I cannot help you with getting root. Have a look at http://forum.xda-developers.com for that.

Have you ever forgotten the password of your home WiFi network, or the one you setup for your parents a few months back?

This application will help you recover the password of a wireless network you have connected to with your device in the past.

You can then either tap on an entry to copy it, or export the list to SD, or share it using the standard Android sharing facilities.

It does not crack the network, or use the MAC/SSID address to deduce the password. It simply reads it from the device itself.

Essentially it parses the wpa_supplicant file.

For more information on how the keys are recovered read here: http://alt236.blogspot.com/2011/04/android-wifi-password-locations.html

Work great now on my Galaxy S5! For those who are experiencing random numbers(hash) as password follow this guide to fix it. Open your build.prop and change the line ro.securestorage.support=true to false and restart your phone. Enjoy! Please vote this comment up to show for everyone ????

This has saved me so many times any time I've forgotten a wifi password after autosaving it for months. I've even been able to pull passwords that friends have forgotten. This app is the best.

Q70%
by Q####:

Excellent. Does exactly what it says and comes handy every once in a while. The negative reviews are nonsense written by people who are misguided about its purpose or otherwise incompetent.

Q70%
by Q####:

On my S5 it gives a 32 character psk. If sorted, 5 stars. It worked perfectly on my Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and S2. UPDATE: It would seem the developer is not interested to sort the problem out.Downgrading to 1 star until he can sort out the problem.

Please make a feature to hide certain networks so I can show passwords around EDIT: If you connect to a wifi by WPS, the app will still store the password. Easy way to know passwords if you can reach it

Changed my phone and can't seem to be able to import all the saved networks from export. Is that correct? If indeed there is no import function somehow then this app is severely limited. This review will change if there actually exists some kind of import function and I just can't find it.

As mentioned by others, it does not work on the S4, S4 was still ok, and my Galaxy Tab 7.7 shows the correct passwords, too. By the way, it shows a wrong/cryptic device name on the S5 (kltexx klte). The timestamp seems to be correct.

As tittle. It does what it said. Some idiots leave some bad review or low rating because they doesn't have ROOT access. PS. Can we have holo or material design update?

My phone is rooted, all other apps requiring root are working.... except this one. Keeps saying I need to root. Tried to uninstall and reinstall. Used to work fine, not sure what you did to make it worse.

Used to work great, but now it just prints gibberish because the encryption of the supplicants file is different in later versions of Android. Wake up, Dev! Your coffee is getting cold. ;-)

This program helps you recover your WiFi access keys so you can have them in case of factory reset or even if you need to recover say for a new device to keep on hand as needed. Worked great two years ago when I used it. Always I will recommend to all my people who need this kind of ease of use. Thanks for reading and lots of love to the app and dev team

App does what it claims it will do: read the stored passwords for WiFi networks that's on your phone and display them for you for easy access. Great for recalling old passwords or sharing keys without having to spell it out to users.

M70%

Exactly what I wanted. Less than a second it showed all my saved passwords for all my wifi connections. Couldnt remember my dads and he wanted to set his new tablet up so it wouldnt use his mobile data at home.

I have this same app on my galaxy s3 which is on jelly bean 4.3 and it works perfectly but for some reason on my note 3 that's on kitkat it doesn't work, shows the coded version of the password. Please update it would be much useful on my note 3 than s3.

I'll give it 3 stars though, because it worked before when I had Galaxy S 3. Returns encrypted password: " ed3c4b2ca6816406f48862b49b8bfa69", for example.

Simple tool to recover all the WiFi keys stored on your device, even if you aren't in range. Brilliant if you have lost a key to any particular network. Saved me a bunch of time.

This app is a must have if you forget your WiFi password or need the password again to connect on another device. I always used to hate when me friends would give me the password by signing into my phone directly, then leave without telling me the password. This makes it easy so you can avoid that awkward conversation to ask for the password again

U70%

The app requires root....if you arent rooted this app will not work....that being said. Installed and did exactly what it was supposed to do. Have a list of all my WIFI Connections and the passwords to them. Open and Presto.

Y70%
by Y####:

This app is great. It actually works unlike most of the other ones!! The beat part is, my tablet was factory reset to original settings (so I had none of my stuff on it) and I was playing around and testing to see if it would actually work, then NINE networks (I repeat, NINE networks) show up, one of my own and 8 others which WERE saved on my tablet before factory reset. I'm still wondering how this app can even do that. But I don't care, its amazing!

T70%
by T####:

This app is good but u guys understand it wrong , its just show u the password of the wifi that conected on it in case that u forget the password, I forget my password in my laptop then I search it on this app and found it thats really easy. I gave it 5 stars it deserve

How to fix wifi recovery password on your galaxy s5. First step. Install buildpropeditor. Open it then find ro.securestorage.true =false then restart your phone. congrats your wifi recovery password is work.

One tap and you get all the passwords in plain text. It needs root and its only going to tell you passwords already entered in your phone. S5, Lollipop.
