AusPost Prepaid TravelSIM for Android
App continuously crashes, and then even when it manages to open it will not let me login because "no internet connection" even though im streaming youtube at the same time. Also one would think an international sim would let you recieve texts and calls right? NOPE! I do not recommend this at all. Have had this app for a few weeks trying to get it to work while I have been traveling and the updates have done nothing.
So app requires you to log in to call.....which requires data connection....which chews up your credit.....not that they would build it that way to make more money....NEVER! Thankfully with companies significantly reducing international roaming costs, this service will become obsolete. Poor form AusPost!!
This is another Vodafone AusPost conjob ripoff. The Vodafone word should have been a warning and having Aus. Post there should have had sirens sounding. $50 lasted about 20 minutes in Manhattan NYC. And that wasn't even heavy useage. And then you are stuck. Cannot recharge because you now have no internet. This just once again confirms the rapacious nature of Aus Post and the fxxk you approach of Vodafone. Problem was solved by buying a cheap sim card from an outlet here in NYC. Never again Aus Post. Never again.
Crashed on first open and on second open required that I manually enabled permission s. I can tell the devs who made this don't know how to configure Android permissions properly...
Austpost sim does not work despite calls to helpline. Advised instructions on web out of date, heh get with it Austpost. Use your old sim and forget Austpost unless you have time and money to spare.
The screens are almost unreadably small on my 5" smartphone. Should not have to log in via a web interface, isn't that the whole idea of a standalone custom app?
Useless. Wants permissions and won't sync correctly. So you can't figure how much credit is left.
Only connected for pcalls on occasion; not able to access data; and sending email a nightmare; conflicted with wifi in hotels - all in all a waste of my time & money - extremely disappointed
2 failed instal attempts .... forget it. Too unreliable ... would have no confidence in pursuing it.
It either crashes or won't open unless you change the permissions on screen overlay apps?
It's a great app, but would be great to see your balance on the home screen. And possibly a widget would be great, but all in all its been an amazing app and a life saver for our overseas trip.
After 3 installs it still will not work on my Google pixel phone... This is stuffed...
Set it up for my parents when they went to Europe. Great service. No hassles. Had to call their call centre and spoke with friendly girl that helped immediately to recharge for my parents.
Great app. Easy to use wen travelling. Great 24/7 customer support
Be nice if I could call home
Keeps crashing
What an absolute peace of crap, waste of time and money. Bought 4 and none of them work properly and the help centre. Useless to put it nicely.

Base on the really low ratings it seems everyone else has the same crappy experience. I'm now wondering how to get my money back that I paid.
Whats the point in an app that just redirects you to a web page, and not even the correct page at that

Will not send txts in Canada, calls in Canada twice the cost of US calls.
Very frustrating.
Can't login
Fails to run
Good app
Very good
Awesome....
Says 'Unfortunately, Prepaid TravelSIM has stopped' when trying to open it. Doesn't work at all. Android: 6.0.1 EDIT: Enabled all permissions manually and app now opens. Had issues logging in, but played around with different passwords (changed it online) and used the phone's 'Back' button and was able to login finally.
Love this app. Easy to check balance and add credit. Makes calling anyone in your contacts simple with no need to enter international dialing codes. Also used the offline mapping which was really handy. Definitely download if you buy the Sim!
This app never worked on my note 5. It also kept popping up an error message right in the middle of photography. Even my device reported it as battery drainer.
I tried recharging with the app via wifi & data roaming & it would not let me past the login. I have to recharge via browser.
Kept crashing until I re-read the reviews for any ideas & after manually enabling the permissions, it works well. Fingers crossed it works when I need it!
Can't sign in... So don't bother downloading
It's good can see your balance and top up is easy
Have tried updating, uninstalling and reinstalling. Still can't log in.
Doesnt even open
That's Waste Of Time And Money. Hard to use for local calls. Works for sms to known numbers. And why do the calls go via Lithuania. Just an absolute nonsense.
Never works. Too bad if it's an emergency

Travel sim worked well for me, calls between USA and Australia were clear. Data also worked but too expensive to use except in emergency. As previous reviewer said, use free Wi-Fi at your motel. I would like to see smaller recharge amount, say $5.
