triple j

This app was awesome until mid-Jan 2017 when suddenly it started broadcasting in mono. I now use the ABC radio app instead to access Triple J but it's nowhere near as good. Fix this pls guyz - I wanna come back!

Update 1jan17 sound quality has dropped dramatically since mid January... What happened?! December 2016: Sometimes crashes when I close it and restart it. Otherwise it's a great station with a solid app

Good app, works fantastic most times. However, is there anyway to have the album art of what song is playing on the lock screen, aside from the generic 'triple j' graphic? With the new update the stream won't switch to 'higher quality' like it used to after a little while, it constantly stays on the poor quality stream. This is very annoying.

Since the last update, the sound quality no longer moves to HQ once the buffer fills. Currently receiving a VERY low quality stream. I'd suggest switching to the ABC app until they sort this out. Nothing in the app settings to pick HQ sound either.

Sound quality is so bad i didnt get through 10 mins. The internet player is better but you cant minimise it and keep playing whilst you do something else. Such a shame! Fix one of the two please!

The sound quality is shocking as others have commented. However you can also use the ABC app and go to live radio and the sound is much much better. I like the features the type j app however sound needs to be fixed.

Streaming quality has dropped. Used to be that you could listen to the lowest quality stream for 10 - 20 seconds before the app automatically switched to a higher quality stream. This doesn't happen anymore.

horrible streaming quality. needs fix asap. only way of hearing hottest 100 while overseas too - such a shame.

It asked me to rate, so I will... Drops out with pretty regular frequency, sound quality is often poor. This is on more than one device too. Fix these issues and will up the rating.

Sound quality is awful, very tinny. Sounds like its playing through a pipeline. Poor form. Would be awesome otherwise

Would 5 star it but since last update it won't stream live radio in high quality, sounds terrible. Please fix asap

Latest update destroyed the quality! How am I supposed to listen to the Hottest 100 with this awful sound?

Crashes every single time. Won't open on Samsung S7-android...killing me. Every. Single. Time.

Quality is terrible... Sounds like ass. Will just remove and replace with a decent app that works...

Great app, live the recently played list and the ability to save songs. Only issue is that the listen live feature seems to fail pretty often.

Great app. If you love everything triple j it's worth having. I have had no issues on Sony Xperia X running latest android.

Love triple j, but the sound quality of live streaming from the app has become rubbish. Whats the deal team?

Hey triple j. I've been a fan of the app for a while now, but this year the sound quality has really taken a dive. I understand the need for low data streaming, but an option to increase or decrease quality wouldn't punish those who listen on wifi, while continuing to be accessible to those on mobile data.

Even when I set it to the local station I still hear the broadcast live, I'm in W.A so if I want to catch the breakfast show I need to get up way to early. Also the stream sounds awful.

Have to uninstall app then download again to make it work, then couple days later I hav to do it all again frustrating!

Terrible quality audio, especially after the last update. Had to swap to Tune In radio for the hottest 100 which is perfect quality

It's not 2002, there's no need to cut your streaming quality down so badly. Terrible sound.

Low quality audio, the ABC Radio app is better

Use it all the time as our radio reception is crap. Would be good if you could choose the quality ie if your on WiFi you could crank it and if you're not you could drop it down a bit. Would also be good to separate the tracks I love into years and be able to vote for them from the app
