Speak and Spell

Speak & Spell was the 1st electronic gadget given to me by my parents when I went to school in London. Sadly it was damaged due to rust at the batteries' terminal point after we returned to Malaysia. Because of this electronic educational game I became a spelling ace in all my schools. If my actual gadget was still operational, it would be worth so much and a valuable collection. Thank you for creating this application to relive my childhood memories.

Awesome app, one minor flaw... The buttons don't repeat if you press the same one twice like the original did... I used to press keys repeatedly as a kid to annoy family members which I can't do here... Hopefully this can be addressed and I'd gladly pay for this... Great job!

Exactly what I was looking for! I just wish you could type in random words and then hit "go" and it would speak them! PLEASE make that happen and I would BUY THIS!

I left my Speak And Spell in the rain and felt bad about it for the rest of my life... until today! Now my toddler can be admonished by a robot, just like I was. Thank you.

Does not work correctly on my Samsung S7 edge (Android 7.0). Keys do not work after being tapped two or more times repeatedly.

Omfg i want to party with you, guy. This is the greatest thing i have ever seen or downloaded. You couldn't separate me from this thing when i was a kid. I used to save my allowance to buy the modules at Radio Shack (yep, epic geek). Speaking of modules....????????????

Wow. I was really like I wonder if there is an app that emulates the....... OMG. Then I found this and messed with it for an hour. Maybe it was two hours? Awesome!

I never owned a Speak & Spell when I was little. This this is cool. Too bad they haven't created Speak & Math or the other variations that followed later on.

This was my favorite game as a kid 30 years ago! Excellent beyond belief! An exact replica and on a convenient app! Voice and all this is as exact as the game was! Still beats me good in hangman!

Terrible robotic voice and poor choice of words. The voice used to lovely and clear on my speak and spell. Good for a 5 minute play once.

As a millennial, I love looking in the past at old technology! I love to hear old tts machines and others. This really gave me a look back into the past. I love it!

Use to LOVE the speak n spell when i was little.. Got one for Christmas one year and could never put it down.. Was one of my favorite toys growing up.. Tbank you for bringing it back and the memerories it brings back.. LOVE IT

Wow, that's a blast from the Past! Hoping I can persuade my nine year old to try this, I loved the 80s toy. This will bring back childhood memories to 70S 80s kids.

Sounds accurate and fun to play with like the original which is hard to get ahold of these days. Only way to make it better would be to add a virtual circuit-bending panel ????

I love it brings me back to my childhood. Do you think you could to the other speak n' play. I know there is about two more. One is for math, but can not remeber the other.

Ohhhhh my goodness. My heart lit up when the melody at the start went off. It's so identical to the original. I spent hours a day on this. Thank you for creating this app, you made my week :).

I don't know about everyone else, but I actually loved the Speak and Spell, faults and all. I haven't used one in perhaps 30 years, but this emulator is exactly as I remember it. Great job!

Difficult to understand what's being said.

This brings me back to my younger days, of learning to spell. And i loved it. It's hard to find this toy,nowadays. But lucky they had put it into technology and bought got this replacement. And its great, for my Children too learn and understand words and letters.

I remember having this when I visited my cousins house and we played this all the time. It's a great tool to help you learn how to spell!

I played this game for probably years as a kid. Loved it. I also had the ET module which would be fun to add as a bonus....

Grew up using the TI one and I'm thrilled to find this!! Now I can let my kids learn with it too.

Isn't identical, as it is missing the actual secret code words. I would love to see Speak & Math next!

Many words are so difficult to understand due to the very poor speech synthesis.
