Public Transport Victoria app

Awesome for real time data, but needs to have more features, like managing myki in itself! And bus updates run in parallel universe, where you cannot see bus on stand, when it says Now, not even after 5-10 mins! Also a feature like notification of cancellation of trains on home line, would be much appreciated.

What's the point? The "live" times are wrong. I routinely rush to a station based on the supposedly live arrival time, only to discover a completely different arrival time (which is invariably later) being displayed on the real arrival board at the station. The only benefit over checking a static timetable is that it does seem to accurately reflect train cancellations. Metro / PTV - why don't you just make the same info available on the app as you display at stations?? You could even just display a constant live CCTV stream of the arrivals board and it would be more useful!

Well the live tracker is pretty decent, but the app lacks features and untuitive to navigate. I want it to able to manage my myki and what to also be able to search for landmarks instead of just addressed, and stop names. I prefer to us the app 'cause I gives me better suggestions that google, but its navigation has alot to be desired. Like when searching for bus times, it keeps going to first bus of the day instead of simply going back to where I was before, when I press the back button. Would also like a forward button too.

Forever waiting for busses that are "1 min" away... Realtime arrival times for buses are wildly inaccurate to the point I can't trust this app (arrival time sits at "1 min" for about 10 minutes). This might have helped deal with the dismally unreliable bus service if it gave accurate information on delays etc, but alas it's back to using the equally reliable method of "wild guesses" to determine when the bus will come. *Edit: I came back to downgrade my rating, as the more I used the app, the more I realised how useless it is.

Please add train's destination in the picker dialog pane. Please use consistent colors, like blue for trains everywhere, or green everywhere. Now i am not sure what mode of transport i am picking o. The go without peering into the icon.

As usaul not accurate . not reliable . full with false time table information. Way to go PTV ! .. you managed to embarrace yourselves once more.

Unintuitive. Can't work out how to even do the basics like show me next train. Just shows random stations on the line. Why can't I view a timetable at least? Waste of time. Pay someone decent to redesign it to be user friendly.

How about adding the capabilities to view remaining balance of myki and being ablw to top it up. I do not want to use 3rd party apps because I do not want to compromise my bank details.

As far as buses are concerned, the times given are apparently completely un-related to when the bus is actually going to turn up. Good luck with trying to rely on it!

App is good but the service provided by the PTV is the worst. Most of the time delays delays n delays, usless service. Cant even get on time for a day. Shame on!!

So far so good. If you can read, you can use it... Just place your destinations (Depart/arrive) and times you roughly need and it shows all available trains around your time. SIMPLE

The app doesn't work sometimes. I m uninstalling my app for 4-5 times . It doesn't display any journeys many a times.

Pretty bad how you can't use addresses or current location in the search, used to be able to but I guess you broke it and dont have any plans to fix it. Shame.

Why can't I just view a simple timetable for a stop or a route?

This app is a joke half the time it doesnt give you correct train times also, so often, it decides to not give results or recognise station names sich as caufield, south yarra etc... you sit at the station finding out NO information having have downloaded it for nothing. What a crock. Did anyone bother to test this app before it went live?

The app says it says if there is a delay but I said the train left the station but I came 5minutes later as it ment to departed the train just left station

Just stopped working on Galaxy S8 after latest upgrade. No times show at all now

App seems simple enough but I would like to set my own home and a few other starting points

App says one, timetable online shows something else, trains ride on some third timetable... you just can't rely on it.

Its a good app. I jst moved here. If ypu wanna know anything, Rather than bothering another pedastrian its lot easier to browse via this app.

App is inaccurate, often says there is no bus when there is or the opposite

They really need to add in timetables for the routes you search and make it so you can see the timetables for each stop

This app is about as good as Metro's service, absolutely dreadful.

The app is continuously off in depicting when the bus/trains will be arriving still needs alot of work

Journey planner tells you to catch trains that don't stop at the station you are going to.

Well it's ok, but it needs more functionality with MyKi. Also, most of the functions are pretty much useless.

Data is plain wrong. Waste of time.

Cannot meet the minimum expectation of live updating train arrival times. Anyone who has rated this app in a positive light should also be thanked for scrapping the east west link, supporting the taxi monopoly's prevention of a rail link to the airport and for preventing all future infrastructure projects that have a lick of sense. PTV can go take a long walk off a very short pier.
