Weatherzone Plus for Android
the most (perhaps only?) accurate weather app for my area. And I've bought and tried quite a few. I'm running Lollipop and haven't experienced the issues that some of you have. Perhaps because I don't use the WeatherZone Pro widget? I've programmed the weather component of Digital Clock Xperia widget to link to WeatherZone Pro and that works fine. But i don't use that because I've made the 'swipe up the screen' gesture in Nova Launcher bring up WeatherZone Pro, and that works flawlessly for me.
It is a great best weather forecast app I ever used. It use data from the trust source which is more accurately. However the app need to be updated (There are some sessions in free app that is better than here. An example is the free app connection the warming issue to Brisbane council). Or you can combine 'weatherzone and weatherzone plus' to there, so we will have and app that is combined the best of both. I don't mind to pay extra to the app if it is improving and offer a suitable price. Thanks. John
Sammy Galalaxy S4 , 8inch. As much as I love wz, I call a spade, a spade. While the app presnts weather in a nice pretty way, it offers ver little extra info that cannot be accessed from normal wz web services. Serious limits on the radar too. I expect more for a paid service. This service should be free as it is. To be a paid app it should offer more. What good did logging in with my wz pro account do? Would be good if the app described why I should do this and what the benifits of signing in with wz pro as oposed to just using wz plus app without having a wz pro accnt. Outside of that, we love u wz, plese dont let us down, plese dont loose us hardcore wx enthusiasts loyalty
Fantastic information, Great work! Living on the edge of a forest it is vital to have good information and opinions because the weather conditions here can change very quickly. The more information you that is available to you the more likely you are to have those precious minutes, sometimes hours for my family and I to prepare ourselves as best we can. Being on property this is great. You can also warn your Nabours and Community. It would be nice to get a discount for the Disabled and Pensioners . Roddie
A lot of effort and good design has gone into this weather app. All the information I want and need is right here, including sunset and sunrise times, something other apps I have tried do not show. The synoptic chart is so useful, the way all the information is displayed and movable is awesome. I cannot find anything to criticize. Well done Weatherzone.
Dear devs, is it possible to change type size, both within the app and the widget (esp. the clock). Other than that, great job. Lots of nice touches such as picking a custom clock app. Not overboard on material design, which is the main reason I shifted to you from pocket weather. I don't normally leave a text review, great work!
For Australians, this is the most accurate weather app I can find. If I had to be picky, I'd ask for a vertical line to indicate the current time on the tide graphs, similar to how Willy Weather's tide graph is set up. Good work developers! This is a quality app.
Informative widgets, accurate (are you reading this Accuweather!) BOM based forecasts, lightning strikes, tides and global city listings - Weatherzone has them all covered. A weather app that is way off in its forecasts is useless, no matter how pretty it looks. Too many weather apps rely on Accuweather's data which is increasingly inaccurate the further you are from Pittsburgh, USA. So only a handful are worth considering in Australia and this is possibly the best.
This app has been great for dependable and reliable weather forecasting. Plenty information for someone who's curious not just about the temperature and likelihood of rain, but also local and national satellite images, and comparisons of present conditions with previous averages. Never had a problem with running the app. It's great!
Very informative and useful. Highly recommended. However there is a rather large battery drain and CPU lag issue on my Galaxy Note 3 now. Other weather apps are less accurate but nicer to my system. Please fix these issues. EDIT 5/1/17: Clock on resizable widget won't update with system clock anymore :(
The app itself is great, gives all the best weather information such as rain Radar and forecasts which are usually very accurate. Only problem is the widget is very average and the time is never in sync with the system time. Very disappointed in this side of it, otherwise great. Only thing holding me back from 5 star rating
Great app.. till a few days ago. I have DU Antivirus. Have had both on my note 5 for a while, and just last few days am being told by the antivirus that the weatherzone+ app has privacy issues! Anyone else find this?
Can you pls update the clock widget to be a 5 grid size as well a 4 grid size or at leats let it be resizeable when customizing the home screen. Icant use it on my samsung s6 as i like to use the 5 grid wide setup and the widget looks stupid when its onk 4 wide
I've used this for years is been great but on my note 5 the clock lags behind the system clock. It's annoying as I use the widget clock for work. Can you PLEASE fix it. Haven't had this problem before so not sure if it's a phone or lollipop issue.
Today's forecast is for "possible shower" and rain since 9am is 0.0 mm. It has been bucketing down for hours. Also the chance of rain percentage almost always varies between that in the banner text and that next to the symbols beneath. Overall, I have found the forecasts extremely inaccurate.....what's the point of this app? Can't believe I paid for it.
I had no technical issues at all with the free version so decided to pay, get rid of ads and support a good dev. It's easily the best weather app I've used out of about 4 or 5. The others just don't look or feel as nice, don't work properly or are inaccurate. Thanks weatherzone, keep up the great work! :)
I don't understand people whinging about the price... It's only $1.99?? Yes, it does just use information that you can get online but it does it so beautifully, smoothly and without ads! Where I live a typical week can include 35C heat, hail storms, torrential rain and completely sunny days. This app is so informative and accurate. I used to just use the BOM website but this is so much cleaner and organised - I love the composite maps. Widgets are great and nice looking too. Thank you!
Went to the paid version after enjoying the standard for the last couple of years. Enjoying it for the most part and its my first choice across my Samsung devices. The widget was having trouble matching the time and I had to reinstall it. But it feels like that was addressed in the last update.
All you need for your weather info. I'd however would like to get notifications for paticular warnings and not all warnings (ie severe thunderstorm warnings). EDIT: Observations makes the app crash for some reason. Please Fix.
One if the most accurate weather apps for Australia. Great features. Hasn't been up updated for close to 2 years, widgets aren't resizable, so they don't look as good on new bigger screen phones... How about done widgets updates please
Generally this is a reliable and accurate weather app. I rarely experience any technical issues with it. Ages ago I used to be able to look at lightening strikes also, but this functionality doesnt seem to be available anymore which is a shame.
Have had this app for few years and find it to be the best , especially for my area. The only thing that lets it down for me is the radar, which isn't so much the fault of the app but rather Google's. I've now learned that the radar is 15-20 minutes slow. That is, if a storm looks like it's on course for my area, it's actually been and gone by the time it shows up. But at least the app is very reliable.
The android 5 updates has made this app JERKY/pause momentary on my Sam S4 when scrolling the main screen. Same slight jerk/pause with my friends Sony Z3. Previous updates were smooth when scrolling. I have done multiple reinstalls! Please make available a update to fix.
The daily forecast estimate for the chance of rain percentage always conflicts with the wrirten explanation'sestimate. Eg, the summary says 90% chance of 10-20mm rain, and the detailed explanation says 50-60% chance of 5mm. What to believe???
Great weather app! But sometimes I notice after I open the app up it activates my phone GPS which is fine but when I exit it out via home button the GPS seems to stay active until I actually close the app in my app list.
What's happening that is not loading at all. Just giving me a blue screen. I did not paid to get a blue screen. Have uninstalled it and installed it back and it did not help. Please fix it. Not happy about having to pay for something and it is not working.
Great app, had it on my previous phone. Accurate weather and updates, falls short of 5 stars due to 2 reasons: its "current location" names my suburb inaccurately, as a nearby street name instead. And shortfall 2 is the widget, its clock and forecast dont update / function correctly.
Love the free app but need to be able to set push alerts based on current location. Having to change location manually as I travel is annoying and means I may miss a vital alert if I forget to update my location. Can you please add functionality that allows you to choose alerts based on current location info? Otherwise great app.
The new widget while resizable it's not do great at least on Nexus 7. The weather icon seems to dominate and it's mostly pointless. I remove the clock as is redundant. Like others I prefer the old old one. Won't be updating my phone.
I already paid for the pro version yet these guys want more money if I want to view local thunderstorms.. In fact for that they expect you to pay monthly!!! If it wasn't for these guys being money hungry would give 5 stars
Wonderful app. Love the layout, however, I found two problems. One: I selected "inches" for rainfall total; but only shows "millimeters." Second: never shows barometric pressure, only just a bar. If these two things are corrected (especially the rainfall measurement), it will be the best weather app on the market.
Most accurate weather forecasts for Oz. Widget could do with a refresh now, but for the dorks who complain about the clock widget, get Timely. If you want good weather app, use Weatherzone.
Upgraded from S3 to S6 Edge this App maintains its looks integrity and accuracy. Couldn't ask for a better Weather App for the Australian Seasons. Top Stuff. Well worth the purchase.
Neato Update: rain radar is broken :( - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Original review: You guys are terrible for putting those awful adverts in the free one, but I can't really complain since it's a good app and well worth a few bucks! It's weird how the chart temps and stated min/max aren't the same, with similar inconsistencies with rainfall, but the differences lie within the margin of error of weather reporting anyway lol. I've also learnt that anything less than '10-20ml' means 'no rain'. This app is very pretty.
Been a long time user of this app but widgets are suddenly no longer. Will change my review back to 5 stars once this is resolved as now I need to find another weather app with working widgets.
Lacks appropriate recording stations for our area. It covers a wide area where conditions vary significantly e.g from mountain tops to plains many hundreds of kms apart. Guess its totally reliant on third party stations.Bring on upgraded Bureau services.
Had it for so long now it's just myain go to weather app. Had a few issues but nothing really
During a recent trip abroad it would not lock onto any location but would try to find a location in my home country and then present a black screen. While Google got it right every time.
Use to work flawless, but since the last update the clock widget no freezes every 30 minutes and I have to force close and restart it or it will still say 8:42am when it's 10pm. When the system clock is still working fine. Back to 5 stars when that's fixed.

Great app, the level of detail is fantastic, and the interface is great. The widget could be designed a little better. If you want to see current temp and Max temp, it has to be over two lines. Would be great to show both but only take up one line. Also the clock in the widget seems to have issues keeping the time. Quite often it's a few mins behind and you need to press the refresh button to sync it, bit dodgy.
