Toyota Link

Got the automatic upgrade a couple of days ago and now it doesn't work at all telling me that the service is currently unavailable. The last version worked fine. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

App simply would not work. Unable to register to use after many attempts. Poor quality app.

Fairly useless, app crashes on latest android update. Why can't Toyota just use android auto or CarPlay. Also can't enter an address whilst the car is in motion, I know a driver shouldn't do this but a passenger can.

Still doesn't work properly with my S7. The update seems to deliver another largely featureless experience. This is the largest let down of my Prado ownership.

Lucky you build better cars than you do apps, because this is terrible! So poorly designed and completely unusable. Embarrassing

An incredibly pathetic effort from a large corporation such as Toyota. I spend $36,000 on a car whose top-end media system has a suite of built-in apps that are rendered completely useless unless supported by this Toyota Link. We've all waited such a long time for this new Toyota Link update. Now that its here, you call this app updated? Seriously? The only working module is a 'SEND MAP DIRECTIONS TO CAR'. Why bother, Toyota? That's something I can do when I'm in the car anyway. Come on, what are you doing? Bring this app to full functionality!

Updated the app and now it dosent work. Useless! Please fix!!!

Have been trying too update now for 3 days. Keeps telling me that the terms and conditions are not available yet and to try later.

Rubbish. Could only get it to connect once. Now with the update I can't even log in

wish i could turn back time and buy a ford ranger instead of a hilux only because of this app. It has to be the worst app ive ever used.

It is good to seen that toyota has fixed the issue but now they need to maintain and improve on the on a regular basis. Overall the app works as it is intended.

Finally updated, fuel finder is quite handy and useful, somehow can't find Pandora anymore, could have add more features, hopefully next update will bring more functions

Sorry for the poor rating, this is more of a pain in the bot bot than it's worth. No plans of reinstalling.

Total rubbish, can't log in after the update. Biggest gripe about the Hilux is this useless app.

Unreliable

Not a good advert for Toyota to be selling cars in 2017 and with most people that can afford new cars also use new phones but this app only works with older phones using Andriod version 4.3 and earlier. As a customer I would of appreciated being told the Audio and apps wont work unless you have an old phone before I purchased the car. This takes away part of the enjoyment of driving a new car.

This is a disgrace. 2017 Corolla and doesn't support last year's S7 edge. What where they thinking. Also the app itself is a shocker. I really like the car but I can't use ant of the apps included with the system. Common Toyota get your act together. It isn't this hard.....

Is Toyota so poor that cannot pay for a decent software developer? It has all the fingerprints of being designed by a marketing department that wants control rather than being focused on customer satisfaction. A vin number and a password - as if anyone would steal this crappy software.

Very disappointing to say the least after updating, nothing works. It can't even syc up with the vehicle. Come in Toyota lift your game, its not as though your cars are bloody cheap. Put your hand in your pocket and spend a bit of the millions you make on clear profit on a bloody decent app!

I think this app is very poor, no basic functions like searching for an address as you type, not even a copy past function; you have to remember the exact address. Not a good advert for Toyota with Ford offering full voice recognition system! Also the app is always on once opened and it kills the battery. This App has had nothing done to it in the past year; not one single improvement despite all the complaints. Shows us what Toyota thinks of customers!!!

Oh what a TERRIBLE feeling! Shame on Toyota. This is definitely the most useless app on my phone. It worked for the first 6 months then has not for 18 months since. Only reason I still have it installed is in hope of a seeming unlikely update.

Toyota you're best to fix your app or change your headunits to CarPlay/AndroidAuto. Your last update in 2015 was more than a year before my car or my phone was built. It's great that you have all these functions that just don't work as app crashes every time I go to use a function on my headunit.

Useless app. It keeps running in the background when I'm not near my car, drains the battery hard and I have to force stop it when I get home. Fuel prices dont work either. It should be much better than this, the competition is way ahead of you

Crappy app, keeps crashing. The app needs an update urgently. If Toyota keeps this up, good luck with their upcoming car sales. I'm not buying another Toyota ever again!

Wont work on Android 7... How disappointing. New 2017 Prado and New Galaxy S8+ and it crashes when trying to connect. Even my S7 wont connect anymore after the android update. Come on Toyota your better than that. Looking at the other reviews im not the only one complaining ether.

This app now works on my Galaxy S8 and 2017 Prius. Latest update fixed bugs and removed Pandora. Pandora have abandoned Australian market. Why not add Android Auto. Android Auto would be brilliant on the Prius touchscreen.

Works just fine on Android 5.1.1. The connectivity works well for updating the system and accessing stuff such as the weather app, weather radar and the integration of the Nav system with your phone for uploading destinations. Just a pity that Pandora ceased ops in Australia from July 31 2017 as this means that there is no longer any audio streaming program in the package any more. Here's hoping Toyota link up with something else such as Spotify or i-heart radio. Otherwise a good app that works well once properly set up. Judging from the number of negative reviews I think there are a lot of impatient people out there...works fine for me.

Changed my rating from 1 to 4 after the last update. It is now compatible with Android 7 and uses material UI. Works as advertised. Old review: Incompatible with Nougat. (Android 7). Otherwise works as intended. Also, it keeps fully running all the time. Has NOT been updated to modern Android app standard.

This app is useless. You say you will add apps that customers want. Well how about you add android auto or at least have an ability to customise. Your living in the dark ages with your ears closed.

I've had this app for 16 months and the only update is to have Pandora. I'm still waiting for it to become more practical. I wish I bought one of them cars that can mirror your phone onto its media system. Anyway love my Hilux, but destination download, weather and Pandora? It's not even handy finding a Toyota dealer in the area !!!! Since my extra premium warranty won't cover me if I go to another Toyota dealer ! I already know where I get my servicing done.

Toyota has cheated us with this pathetic app. We paid the price of an upgraded car and this useless app we get in return and it messes up the phone as well. What was toyota thinking really... needs a lot of optimization and complete overhaul. And needs to be done soon.

Judt brought a new car and saw this feature was keen to try it. Kills my phone when its not even in use, i thought my phone was faulty(S7 edge) because it kept overheating for no reason. This app has so much potential but it's wasted we've basically paid for it already with our purchase of our car. I really hope they fix it.

Toyota should be asking for their money back. Terrible app that doesn't even work on Android 6. You can't close the app, you must force stop it. It consumes significant battery power when running, and has a useless ui design.

I see no point to this app whatsoever. Looks like support for it has died out as it hasn't been updated in a long time. Toyota Australia need to pick up their game. Toyota Entune US equivalent looks so much better.

The app appears to have all the same problems as 12 months ago so clearly Toyota can't address its key issues. Pity, the car is great!
