VSX Remote

The app is OK. It's a great little tool to manage my Pioneer...when it remains connected. It drives me nuts that I can start the app andconnect to a source...but if I leave the app by minimizing the app and do something else, when you go back to the app, the app can no longer communicate with the receiver. Only option is to reopen the app and start over. Not bad enough to uninstall but quite the pain in the @ss to deal with. Fix this issue and I'd give it 4 maybe even 5 stars. Until then, 3 is the most I'll go.

App worked good with note 3. Having an issue with S8 plus. Put correct local iP and app says "connected" but it's not working. Cannot control anything. Cleared data and Reinstalled app. Very aggravated. I use this app ALL the time but not now since I got a new S8.

I found in absolutely infuriating that i couldn't find the option to change the VSX IP Address. Maybe I disabled it.. not sure. But no online help either. Maybe I disabled that option too!

Great app, just what I needed. The official app is a joke.

Media Server and Pandora don't work. Everything else does.

Better than Pioneer's app. MUCH faster and had a widget. Wish the non-functional stuff didn't show or could be hidden though (like DSP modes). I'd pay for an upgrade if it gave me even more control such as timing and channel level directly (no odd required). UI could be a bit more intuitive too.

Was constantly fighting with the Pioneer app for my Elite receiver. After enough I went in search for a replacement. Worth every penny! Took a little time to acclimate to the controls. Best thing...the ability to swap between speaker a and b.

App doesnt work properly, widget doesn't work at all, there is no access to list of internet stations but screen shots show it , after app is closed there is annoying notification that keeps piping up on the screen. Connection to the amp is very intermittent i keeps dropping every time screen goes out. Too bad because app has great potential.

But it does still control my older receiver. Bought this app years ago, and have loved it since. It could probably use a facelift, but what ever, it's still functional!

Works Excellent. Just the right amount of control to be user friendly.

Nice. So far way better than the Pioneer app

My VSX remote control started acting up on me. The volume buttons would not work anymore. I tried this app (the lite version) and then bought the full version. What an excellent App! Everything I needed. Thank you..

Way better and more stable than pioneers own app. I'm using pioneer vsx 53.

Everything a well written app should be. It takes that useless icontrolAV and makes my receiver functional over network. Allows plenty of control but keeps it simple and organized. Looks good doing it too.

I would love to be able change tuner frequencies within the app, not just presets.

This software work s very well with my pioneer amp vsx-lx53 on my galaxy s3 and my note 10.1 great item cheers

Should have a feature to scan for your receiver instead of putting in your Ip every time. Set my receiver to a static ip, and works great. Thank you!

This app makes it so easy to control the speakers on the back porch.

An absolute must have app if you want the best out of your vsx921! This app puts pioneer to shame for the amount of control it puts at your fingers. Just the Internet radio feature alone makes the app worthwhile. Found features on my receiver that were buried. I can't recommend this app enough. Using it on a Nexus 4.

Works better than iOS app

Works for the VSX31 which the Pioneer app doesn't. Well worth the price.

Finally an app that works really good for my VSX-1120K and my VSX-1021K. I'm very pleased! Just buy it and don't look back at the free so so working apps.

Why doesn't Pioneer buy this app from you!

Great app, supports all features on 2010 models that Pioneer abandoned. Amazing support by Dev & continual updates.

Pioneer decided not to update and fix their apps for older receivers. This is a great solution. I can turn the receiver on/off, control internet radio and everything else I wanted. Well done.

used to be able to change stations with Internet Radio. And how about the ability to change XM stations. Other than that the app is solid. Takes some getting used to, but it's a good app.

Not worth a dime. Unfortunately the stock app from pioneer is not much better. Nexus 4 running 4.4. Pioneer vsx 1022

Very functional and more options than official app. Love that it has a two zone widget that u can easily turn zones on/off, volume up/down etc. Nice that someone is supporting these pioneer receivers! Looking disdainfully at YOU Pioneer!
