About Mimi Location (Family Safety)
The Mimi (My Instant Message Infoxchange) is to provide a full featured and easy to use a Jabber/XMPP instant message client on Android. Mimi is lets you locate & chat with your phone, family and friend in privately. No sign up required, all existing Jabber/XMPP client account is OK, such as Google Talk, Mimi Server, Facebook Chat...etc. It support open federation (that means you can send message from Mimi server to Google Talk or Facebook Chat) with any service provider that supports the industry standard XMPP protocol. This includes Google Talk, Earthlink, Gizmo Project, Tiscali, Netease, Chikka, MediaRing, and thousands of other ISPs, universities, corporations and individual users.
Full features include:
• Instant Message/ Chat clients for any standard XMPP servers (Prosody, ejabberd, Openfire, Tigase, Google Talk, Facebook Chat), It can be used through desktop Google Talk to mobile or clients can send/receive message to/from mobile Mimi client;
• The ability to locate family members and friends,;
• Know when your family is safe or needs help, application has been built in with emergency sirens in instances where friends and families are in immediate danger
• Secure and private, invite-only messaging platform. No information keep/publish into web for public user access;
• Track misplaced or stolen phones, can be expanded to cover stolen vehicles / objects;
