OK I closed the app and restarted it successfully. The image quality and interface is quite good. But watch out if you touch the screen. My tablet jumped out of the app and launched the web browser. No big issue. Pausing and resuming is all it needs to do.

I cannot believe how much time this spends buffering. Whether it be my phone, laptop or smart tv, even using a media streaming box. It's at the point that if I miss something on channel 9, I accept that I have missed it. Trying to stream anything here is beyond a joke. Buffering adds an hour or more on to a 90 minute movie or show. I would not recommend it to anyone unless they have the time and the patience of a saint. Channel 7 is the same. If we stream anything else, very, very rarely is there any buffering, no matter how many devices are running using the home internet.

Kept stalling. Glitches so many times and played for so short of time I seen less then 3 seconds viewing in 10 minutes with fast so fi and good signal strength. I won't be bothered watching the series at all now

The worst streaming app- constantly stopping, ads every 5 minutes. Try fast forwarding to a specific tome and when play is pressed it goes straight back to the start. Terrible

Seems to work fine for me with only a few ads throughout. However I do have an issue with the ridiculous volume change when the ads do come on. I went from watching a show at normal volume to be blasted at what I would consider max volume. Not cool. A lot worse than what you experience when watching tv. Watching on Chromecast via Galaxy S7.

I have never taken the time to review an app before but this is seriously just an awful experience. The number and frequency of commercials throughout one 30 minute episode is beyond ridiculous. Surely you can do better channel 9??

Updated: Have finally logged in. Show I want to watch is glitchy as a mofo. How many times do you like rewatching a 5 second scene? After previous review, got an email requesting review direct to website. No reply. No fix. Nada. In general pretty shite for that it's supposed to be Older: Downloaded this app to watch a show from freeview. Apparently I need to log in or create an account to do so. Login page will not load. Sign up page will not load. Kind of pathetic for a show streaming app. Wish I could say I was dissapointed

Downloaded 9now for PlayStation. It is the absolute worst. Playback stops, video is unavailable a lot of the time, cuts out for no reason and the only thing that is guaranteed to play are neverending ads that just don't stop. I almost think this app is designed as one long advertisement platform.

I love that this app has a massive catalogue of shows to watch.. Heaps of reality TV, especially, if that's your thing. However, there are tons of ads, sometimes I can't get live streaming to work properly, and sometimes videos just stop playing. Still, for a free app and the amount of content available, I can't really complain! Thank you 9Now for all the hours of entertainment!

The longer you watch shows on this app, the more ads and more frequently they are shown. I can understand the demand for ads and stuff, but not like this. This app is only good for catching up on shows missed. On another note, havent had issues with playback or quality at all. (Using app on samsung tv and samsung phone apps on fixed wireless NBN)

Absolutely ridiculously bad. Spend more time watching ads than the episode, having the app unable to resume playing the episode after ads and when it finally does the ads start up again and 9 times out of ten the app stops working again.

The adds are worse than on live tv... unbeliever !!!!!! Every time I try to progress forward to where I was watching last I get hit with 4 adds... bloody annoying. Won't be using this app anymore, waste of time.

Terrible, tried this app a year ago but after the ads it can't resume the show. Tried on multiple devices. Gave it another go after a year, same issues. I found the show I wanted on another streaming service. This company is the sort to complain about losing revenue to people streaming. Time to catch up or fail.

Well, I thought the reviews I read were a little harsh, until I updated! The only thing that worked well was the extra bit of private information they wanted from me! I chose a show and preceeded to watch 4 ads for another show! I shut it down as I dint want to waste my data on it!

Live tv does not stream properly except for suprise suprise, THE ADDS! Continually loops and replays the same 5 to 10 seconds of content over and over and then jumps ahead. Not worth a 1 star unless you enjoy watching adds that is

I usually don't bother with reviewing apps good or bad but for 9now I'll make an exception. This is quite possibly the worst app I have ever installed. Firstly, the password doesn't appear to support special characters making it very insecure although why 9now is the only free to air app that requires a login to use is beyond me. Next, while watching a live stream the loading icon stays even though the stream is fine. Truly amazing that they can get it so wrong despite being a multi million dollar company. Avoid.

It was working fine 2 days ago got up to season 8 of mcleods daughters n it has taken 5 mins to watch 12 secs keeps loading but nothing, have uninstalled it n reinstalled it still the same problem. What the hell is going on seriously not impressed

Ads ads ads... if you think you can happily watch a show? Think again!! You are bombarded with ad after ad after ad, and not only that, the ads are so repetitive it'll drive you crazy! DON'T DOWNLOAD unless you are passionate about watching ads

Worst app I've ever used! Across multiple platforms - PlayStation, Chromecast and phone it is shockingly bad. Glitchy, stops streaming, 30 second adverts randomly - unless you're not connected to Wi-Fi because in that case you get 5 adverts back to back. Thanks for burning the data unnecessarily. I really hope the app gets some serious attention from the developers soon!

I can easily mute the ads on tv. Very disappointed that channel Nine has made the app almost unusable. No Ads on ABC' I-View. I will only be on Channel Nine when Rugby League games are on, you can only squeeze quick ads in there lmao!

Complete rubbish, user interface is unintuitive, requires an account just to watch catch up tv & biggest issue is that sound works fine on the small screen but if you are chromecasting the video goes through with no sound. Needs attention asap

It used to be fairly good besides the ads, but something has changed sinds the last update living in Qld the app only gives me the live viewing from WA, as we are a few hours ahead of them there is no use of watching live movies on this app as they start at 11pm in Qld time. The most annoying thing is that you can't set the region yourself, it is determind by what??? Very useless app at the moment for Qld with broadcasts that are hours behind. UPDATE......COME ON!!! CHANNEL NINE you changed something and its almost good going from WA broadcast to NSW broadcast, but last time I checked NSW and Qld timezone NSW was still one hour ahead of Qld even more useless then last time now, as all programs heve finished in Qld time. Make it easy and make it so people can set their own region, how hard is that????!!! Okay and we are back to the WA streaming from Qld!!!!!!! Come on and get this right, programs are hours behind again is it really that hard to have people watch a Qld live stream???!!!

Do you want to watch advertisements? Then this is the app for you! Look, I understand that ads are required to support this but there is a limit. I start an episode, I get 2 minutes of ads, I decide to rewind an episode, I get 2 minutes of ads, the app crashes and I want to watch from where it crashed, no, instead I try to figure out where I was and I get 2 minutes of ads, I close the app and want to continue watching the next day, let's watch 2 minutes of ads, I want to fast forward because I missed the last minute of the episode on live TV, let's watch 2 minutes of ads. Ads, ads, ads. The most annoying frustrating app, please save user data so you can monitor crashes and don't put us through this. Ads should be based on the amount of time we watch an episode, this is ridiculous, I reckon I watch 2 minutes of ads for every 2 minutes I watch considering how much this app crashes! (FYI - I'm casting to Google Chromecast 2 using a Samsung Galaxy s7 edge, no problems casting with any of my other apps)

Have you used this app yourself? It's not user friendly at all! The amount of ads inbetween shows is insane.. these ads also freeze and stop working so you have to refresh the program... watch 3 ads again at the start... then fast forward to the part you were up to and watch another 3 or 4 ads! You have great programs to watch but the ad feature is ridiculous. You need to change this to make it more user friendly.

ADS FOR DAYSSSSSSS... seriously guys, there is a difference between smart use of ads and just flat out bombarding your users. Then there is the volume of ads.. if I feel like going deaf, I will call you guys. It's really not hard to make something maintain one level of volume. I would recommend using this app you have probably paid far tomuch to develop. You might come across some issues? DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Seems to work well with chromecast. Since last update I haven't had any problems with streaming and watching live TV

There are serious glitches in the live streaming. Things get repeated over and over and over again which makes it extremely hard to watch. It never had this issue before but the last few weeks have been frustrating.

Keep freezing when buffering for Add and the comes up with error. Keep having to reload and then fast forward. Junk

So glitchy. Previously worked through Playstation ok until recently. It now plays an ad then goes back to the menu even though you're half way through the show. You choose to resume and it plays the same ad and straight back to the menu. You try to start from the beginning instead and ffwd to where you were up to... It plays the same ad and goes back to the menu! Infuriating. I don't mind ads for free content, but make it actually work! And trying to watch on chromecast through galaxy7... Works maybe one in ten. Comes up as ready to cast then just buffers your program and never loads. I've written this entire review and it's still loading... An app has never frustrated me more. Straight onto my other streaming apps and the connection is fine. Useless.

Pretty disapointed. Trying to watch in bed on the tablet and keeps freezing. After watching the same sentence repeated like 40 times i went over to netflix

Annoying that you have to sign up to watch shows broadcast free on tv. Competitor apps don't make you sign up. Uninstalled it right away the first time. But only reinstalled because I don't have aerial access in my new house and the FV app just links to this one for nine's programs (again, annoying)...

This is the worst app I have ever used and I am not exaggerating. Crashes up to four times in one episode. Will be uninstalling.

This app is the pitts! Super clunky and takes FOREVER to load - except the ads which seem to load perfectly and last for almost as long as the show! It's no wonder people are prefering to illegally download when your only other option is this shonky platform!

Can not sit down and watch catch up without it stopping, having to reset or replay. An hour show can take nearly 2 hours to watch. Ridiculous

Poor app. Adds cut into shows and are so much louder than the show. Stops and starts randomly. Really really poor

It's amazing how you make us watch an ad prior to live streaming what is mostly ads. Also just a poorly made app.

Why doesn't Chromecast work with this? The button is there but it never ever works. All the other tv channel apps work

Unreliable, frustrating, when it occasionally does work it is good but thats about it. Going to delete it right now!

Doesn't work on our tablet, phones or TV via the PlayStation. On the phones, the shows just wont load. It isn't supported for our tablet and for our PlayStation it says we need to be in Australia (which we are) and won't play. Terrible app!
