I just love this app, especially when it comes to knowing one's exact location. For a field person like me, I know I am at thw right place and get off with work straight away. One thing only is that I have never been able to load about a 100 shp.file polygon in mappt. Can this issue be fixed.

Mappt is a very useful remote sensing tool particularly for use in remote areas where internet/ data access is limited or unavailable. The app allows you to cache google imagery and add in your own imagery and shapefiles. You can also create and export data in various formats (shapefiles,kml,csv). The app is very user friendly and intergrates easily with other GIS programs.

This is a great app. It is intuitive, easy to use and a great collection tool for environmental data. This app is changing the way that people will collect data in the field, and is a fantastic all-round mobile mapping app.

Mappt focuses on the functions really necessary for data capturing in the field, so is therefore easy and fast to use. With the Android platform, we can use maps with Sony Xperia Z Tab devices, which are much cheaper and lighter than field-specific computers. Another advantage is the compatibility to ArcGIS and many other formats of geospatial-related data. We can offer our customers immediate data delivery without wasting time for GIS-work at the desk.

This is the only useful mobile GIS app for Android tablet that I know of. It has kml and shapefile capability, with import, editing and export functions, and live or imported imagery. It is all logically organised and easy to use. It was a bonus to discover that it is an Australian product, and the technical support has been excellent.

Great app, great team. Sinosteel uses the app for Geofencing of aboriginal heritage sites. The ability to captures breaches directly into Google drive and email notifications is a plus. Easy to use.

Potentially good; however it doesn't work in portrait mode, make it pointless when using it with mounted tablets/smart phones that can not be rotated. Menu systems and deleting lays seems counter intuitive.
