IceTV - TV Guide Australia

I've now been using this for 5 yrs and upgraded to a Beyonwiz T3 from my Topfield trf2460. Ice tv allows you to set favourite tv shows for it to automatically record for you. You can even just set it to only record New episodes. The Beyonwiz T3 can record up to 8 channels at once unlike most others limited to only 2 channels. Unfortunately there are only a few brands that support Ice TV and then not all models in the range but you can check out on icetv website. Happy viewing.

once an awesome app but since change of ownership a DISASTER. The past 12 weeks or more the guide incorrect EVERY DAY, so can't risk using to preset recordings. Times are ALWAYS WRONG & ONLY TAKES 5 MINS OUT TO MISS START OR FINISH & this is INFURIATING. Often lists 2 or 3 pgms at same time on same channel, so don't know what it will record. Have missed many impt episodes as guide always wrong & must be ice TVs fault as other guides all get programs right, even if have to make late changes. STAY AWAY

Ice TV and an "ad skipping" PVR is the only way to survive free-to-air telly. The support available from Ice TV is also excellent. Highly recommended.

So easy to use. Saves time and confusion.

Seems to be the best guide I can find just not always upto date and doubles up shows two movies for the same time slot same channel

You email me some shows under the title 'whats on this weekend'. I go to the app to mark thea show as favourite but its not in the tv guide. Why?

Been with ICE TV for years now and would never leave them. Think it's the best way for recording TV shows and movies. Even just as a TV guide.

Works well, we love it! We're full members and it's really, really useful. Never had a problem with it.

Tivo included record by genre and thumbs up or down. If you had those I would have rated higher.

Vast improvement on the Windows phone app. Works every time on a Beyonwiz DPP2

Easy to use and ensures I can set up a recording, if I need to, whilst out and about.

Excellent in conjunction with an iceTV subscription but also a very good stand alone TV guide

Used to be better with more coming soon and recommendations but still okay to schedule from anywhere.

Works well most times but can be frustrating sometimes when updating a series recording. I usually have delete the recording and link again. Otherwise it does everything well.

Turns movies into series web is more reliable please fix. Now more expensive but zero customer service

Great app. Easy to set up recordings for my 2 Beyonwiz PVRS. Would like to have a 'priority' system where I can select which show I would prefer over others (any old Topfield users remember the TEDS program?). Also if the app/emails could explain why a recording has failed. But all in all an excellent addition to my home entertainment solutions.

Would like a favourite button on the Recommendations. And series info under coming soon would be helpful as it may say new series but it is only new to that network! Coming soon under Recommendations is out of date, hasn't been updated for months. I find more info on tv tonight. Not as on the ball as it used to be... and sadly thanks to network programming the coming soon is inundated with reality TV and more reality TV masquerading as documentaries.

Best used as part of the total package. Can tell most pvr s to record across the Internet. Can send a standing query to your podcast player so you know a week ahead something is coming. A great app. Staff even answer emails on pvr queries

It was a great app before they took the away the feature which allowed me to access the scheduled time and channels of my programs from my "favourites" menu. The favourites menu now is useless as I cannot go to my favourites list and see when my programs are scheduled. Bring this feature back and the program is fantastic.

The lack of ongoing development and poor responsiveness of the technical support team (person) let this product down. If there was a viable alternative o would give then a go!

And portrait mode should show normal timeline bars

Add in APP search function of IMDB, Rotton Tomatoes, etc. I have to do this manually & it sucks. Use alerts/IM to tell me I have not looked at the schedule so I KNOW to book the next week. I shouldn't have to set an alarm myself. Use alerts/IM to tell users a movie or series in a WISH LIST is coming up. That an actor, writer, producer (etc) whose stuff I love is coming up. Let me see JUST movies or series in schedule. List & search by GENRE. DO NOT clear schedule search after I book one item in the results.

Very happy to see that IceTV is back up and running. App is good. Improvements could be made when you using multiple PVR's. I have 3 using IceTV and you don't know which one is which when looking at your "My Week" screen (without opening the particular recording). With the Web version it separates them clearly. All you people that don't like it may not realise that is is a paid subscription service to get much more than just the guide.

Have used it for a couple of years, both the free version and the paid. Like most people I would love it to be tailored to my needs but the clean simple interface is the best all round option for all and it works and works consistently well. Great value for money and it means I don't have to miss a show because I can set it to record anywhere. Now spend less time sitting in front of the box watching rubbish because I record what I want to see instead of waiting for it to come on. Best around.

Please change background colour from black to white, its hard to read and sends my eyes googly, and please give the ability to remove channels i want in my tv guide. I think it could be designed a bit better so its easier to read and view. Otherwise I love that i can have a list of my favourite tv programs at my finger tips and can quickly find when they are on instead of manually searching my pvr weekly, a quick look at this app means I can change the time on my pvr quickly and simply, especially as one of our favorite shows changes time slots weekly. Good job.

It will not let you access the guide without subscription payment. I got burnt from a subscription that was not valued. However free funconalty was enough for me but on my new phone i cannot sign in without renewing my subscription.

Don't touch the paid version. Couldn't get it to work as advertised. Error messages any time I tried to record from my phone on my supposed free month's trial. No customer service at all. Tried 2 phone calls and 3 emails, none answered. Hold on to your cash and use the free one if you like it.

Love the service. I use the web version more than the app as it has more controls. But the app is handy when a computer is not available. Im disappointed with the current subscription options.
