This app has gone downhill. Says I need an internet connection, I HAVE ONE.... I love using the app. Anywhere anytime. I would however like it to have a few more features. For example a sleep timer. Also the ability to minimise the app but still have sound like you tube red. Often I get a message or need to use another app but would still like to listen so I dont miss my show entirely. Also make it work on chrome cast.

I like that I can use the app to use it for series recording or to record a show when you're not home!! However in the last three days all of a sudden it is not working anymore. I have logged out and then log back in go to the show on a record then it tells me to re login go through the motions and then nothing it says I'm logged in but I still can't find my box or record shows! This app was working on my Note 8 so I have no idea what changed

This app was working for a couple of weeks and was quite good. Although recently it will not launch and says there is no internet connection even though there clearly is as I am writing this review on the same device. I have uninstalled it numerius times and still fails to launch. It does work on other devices but which is quite strange. Overall a disappointment.

The positive is that it give me foxtel on my phone and i can watch anywhere. However the actual app is complete rubbish. Very unstable, crashes, freezes, need to re-login constantly, and most annoying the dont have support for chromecast and block any type of casting. Nothing that hasn't been said by other angry customers. It appears that foxtel generallt dont care what their customers think because you can guarantee they wont make the improvements.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the Foxtel App has stopped working. Everytime I try to launch, it's saying I need to be connected to the internet. But I am connected. Ive uninstalled and re-installed the app yet no change. Any reason why?

"You need to be connected to the internet to use Foxtel". I must be connected to something else other than the internet to submit this review? Pay money for a service that still has ads, and barely works when you want to watch something when you're out and about. Garbage.

I HATE this app! My top priorities are the TV guide and remote recording. It seems I don't have access to either now. Plus I'm told I can't watch live tv on my device. PLUS it crashes and then asks me to restart. Ughhh! C'mon Foxtel, DO SOMETHING!

Oddly tells me I have no internet connection when I clearly do or else I wouldn't be able to post this review....so far, the only solution is to reinstall and after the 4th time, I'm over it. Such a shame as real potential to win back customers who left in favour of Netflix etc.

So bad and not working at all. Now I can't even uninstall it. Just stuck. Anyone know what ctrl alt delete is on phones? Rebooting does nothing. Note 8. Worked for one week on the new phone then just aa constant black screen.

Literally one of the worst "big-name" apps on the app store. Signs me out every couple of weeks, shows never load, impossible to find TV schedule, force closes every third attempt at opening.

Terrible app Foxtel! For the last two weeks it keeps saying that i have no internet connection and so will not load. However i definately have internet and this app was working 2 weeks ago! Very frustrating and phone support was no help at all!!

I could get the Foxtel Go app to work, although it was buggy as all hell. But since you have made this "Foxtel" app the stability is shocking. I cannot stay in the app very long without it crashing. And can't play a second of video, nothing loads and then the app crashes. Feb 2018 Update: The app has been patched. I can now stream video and it has not crashed once. Giving it one extra star for improvements.

Can never get videos to load. App opens and i can sign in, search. Choose a show and it will show loading for ages. Eventually does play the opening ad, but then never plays the show - just the endlessly spinning circle. I just tried again after a factory reset on my phone, and it's still the same. Ridiculous. Worked fine for 2 years, now wont work at all for 2 weeks now. Keeps saying connect to internet. Wont pick up mobile data or WiFi. Nothing changed just stopped working. Very frustrating. I'm cancelling our subscription.

So many bugs. Won't work on a console and on my phone I am getting stuck at the end of an add and won't show any content. Content won't load if I reopen. Internet speed is 4.5 Mbps so that's not the problem. It did work about a month ago but not any more.

This app was working for a few mouths. But just after Christmas 2017 it die. It always became a black screen when I when to wash something. I like this it has good movies. But I hope foxtel fix this problem now.

Like just other ppl here are sayin. I need to be connected to the internet to use the app, which in fact i am connected. Whats really worse. No replies to any ones review from foxtel, statin they are aware and tryin to fix it.

Absolute rubbish. App no longer works, all it tells me is that i'm not connected to the internet when i clearly am, does this on both wifi and data... no wonder foxtel are losing customers to netflix, optus, telsta tv etc...

App keeps saying that i have to connect to the internet. I have tried with both wifi and mobile data. Without any luck. I cant access any part of the app to report a problem. NOT HAPPY! Going to cancel foxtel if issue isnt fixed for my Samsung

The app constantly crashes. So does our set top box. When we play recorded movies or shows it freezes. Lift your game Foxtel before I cancel my subscription.

Was watching a movie the other night on TV and thought Id go watch the remainder in bed. When I turned on the app was told that the channel I was looking for was locked for my package. I find it pretty frustrating when my package is Platinum! Your missing most channels tha5 people do enjoy. Why isnt Classics on my app?

Pathetic and so annoying. Doesn't even open anymore and I've reinstalled it so many bloody times. Such a waste of life trying to use the stupid thing. Foxtel sucks

The app is so buggy. If you switch away from it, it's likely it won't open again. Have to force stop then restart. It doesn't remember what you've watched, and you can't tell it what you like so it shows that first. Skipping forward or back is likely to have unpredictable results. A ma and pa dev shop could make a much better app than this junk. 2/5 at best.

Whoever develop and maintain Foxtel technology needs to be fired right now. This app has gone downhill, keep on saying need internet even if you are connected to the internet. Others are evolving and improving, unfortunately Foxtel technology was left on the stone age!

Doesn't cast to Chromecast. Australia is a sporting nation and Foxtel represents the shackles that hold us back from what we love. You make us convicts again. Can't wait for some US software provider to do live sports so you lose the only thing people buy your product for.

A steaming pile of electronic droppings. If unresponsiveness, stuttering, grey circle loading, loading are what you want, look no further. Netflix kills this dead. Must be connected to the internet to use? I am and still you won't launch. Just, so bad it's appaling.

One day it worked, the next day it didn't - sort it out Foxtel. All these reviews with the same issues. I will seriously consider my options when my foxtel contract is up for renewal.

Have not been able to watch any live tv in months. I only have fox for sport, no point if it doesn't work

In today's day in age, where other streaming platforms have pricing at far cheaper than Foxtel without ads, is it that hard to bring Chromecast support? Every streaming app has Chromecast support including Optus Sport. Optus Sport works flawlessly with Chromecast, yet with Foxtel I can't Chromecast and I pay 4 times as much with Foxtel + Sports. Competition is great, time you wise up Foxtel. EVEN WITH UPDATE FOXTEL PURPOSELY AVOIDS CHROMECAST! JUST GIVE US THE FOXTEL NOW APP!!! THIS IS DISGRACEFUL!

I used to have no problem whatsoever using the app however since upgrading my phone it won't load live tv at all. Very disappointing.

The app just stopped working. It saying - U need to be connected to the internet to use Foxtel. Regardless if i have internet connection or Wi-Fi. Before that was working fine and now doesn't even open at all....

Doesn't work with 7.1.1 Note 8. Will only stream the opening ad, but after that it's a black screen with endlessly spinning circle. I've cleared the cache, reinstalled, but I can't watch anything. While it's nice that you updated it for Oreo, 7.1.1 IS NOT OREO!

Edited: App got better with Moto G5 Plus perhaps it's cause it works better with Android 5 or higher, I want to give it no stars cause its a useless app that won't work on certain devices. Was able to download on my Onix tablet but as I went to log in, it tells me it's not supported?? Perhaps I should unsubscribe, keep my money each month and see if Foxtel will pull their finger out..... Obviously not too many complaints on this thread alone and they still won't fix the problem. Got Samsung Galaxy A 2016 tablet can install but can't move app to micros sd card, what's the point of that? I brought micro sd card so I can move apps to micro sd card so I've got more space for internal storage.

for those of you saying " must be connected to internet". Go to App manager and clear and delete cache then re open. This worked a treat.

Used to work fine, now all of a sudden will not let me program recording of any show. Have reinstalled to no effect. The upgrade of the app is very disappointing.

Please optimize this app for android tablet. It crashes within 5 seconds of being opened, every time. It's unusable.

Very poor app. Removing ability to cast is just greedy. Can't wait until sport gets taken over by someone else. Look forward to cancelling overpriced subscription.

You cant leave open overnight then continue watching without restarting the app. Regularly asks for the same username and password with an absurdly short timeout. Quality of streaming is fine but app is a bit slow to start even on Android 8.

Doesn't work on my new s8 - use to work on my old one. Now just get a perpetual loading screen but no picture. Send to be zero help and support our there.
