I've been a Watch AFL subscriber since the beginning of the 2016 pre-season matches and kept my subscription until after the 2016 Grand Final. In 2016 I thought the Rightster Watch AFL app was a little buggy and slow. From what I've seen of this brand new Watch AFL app, it's fast, easy to use and pretty bugless. There was originally a problem with Chromecast on live videos, which was problem during matches, but this was quickly sorted out and now I get great coverage of live matches on Chromecast. Highlights videos of matches would be great as well as the full match replay video, as I don't have enough time to watch all matches live and in replays in their entirety but would like to see highlights of the matches that I don't have time to watch in their entirety. Definitely a great new app and website from Fox Sports AU.

Excellent quality. I was frustrated in previous years with the provider who streamed live AFL games. The service was very unreliable and unstable. From what I've seen so far now Fox are providing the service, it's a huge step up.

overall big thumbs up for the app with a massive improvement in terms of stability and quality. the only downside is that i am unable to watch offline which was important to me when on flights or taking public transport....huge drawback....

I have subscribed to Watch AFL since 2012. It was good the first year or two, but now it has grown into the best online sports streaming service I have ever used. It's better than the NFL, Watch ESPN, SlingTV, Fox Soccer To Go, and all other services I've used to stream sports. And the best part? It's the best streaming service for my favorite sport! The price of $149 per year for every single match is an absolute bargain. The match interface is good, the quality of the stream is high, and the ability to integrate it into your personal calendar is a welcome addition. I like what Rightster did the past few years...here's to hoping Fox AU does it even better all year! [Update] Chromecasting now works perfectly. The dev responded quickly and got it fixed.

Can you download games still? Sure it looks shiny and the Chromecast option is nice. But I travel a lot and used to love being able to download the matches so I had something to watch during flights. Am I just missing the option?

A huge improvement on last years app. Still a few bugs to iron out but you can see the improvement

Not having the download option to view offline is a huge downgrade from previous versions. Hard to watch games at 3am here so offline option was great. Now, not sure its worth it

Nice improvement from before but please add fast forward and rewind capabilities to the video play back function

Can't fault it. Please don't ruin it like afl live did to their app. Good work

What is the highest resolution given on mobile. Is it the same as desktop resolution such as 5mb for example

Z70%
by Z####:

Chromecast completely broken

Where did the option to download the game go? I don't have access to a high speed Internet connection in Asia and this was the only way I could reliably watch the Footy. Happy to go back and re-rate this if I've over looked the option or it's coming with the home and away season.

Z70%
by Z####:

Not working with Chromecast consistently. Keep getting an unknown player error. But some content does work. Hopefully that gets ironed out before the season starts.

U70%

Wow. What a HUGE improvement. Love the new interface and the addition of footy shows! Bravo Fox!

Good app so far looking forward to the start of season
