About RDI Conference 2017
The Research for Development Impact (RDI) Network and the University of Sydney will host the 6th RDI Conference to be held on 13-14 June 2017 in Sydney.
Under its former name of the ACFID University Conferences, this series has built a reputation as one of the most highly-anticipated events in the industry calendar for professionals working in international development in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
This Conference offers international development practitioners, academics, students, consultants and private sector representatives a unique opportunity to explore and develop opportunities for cross-sector collaboration and partnership. The conference will attract over 400 delegates.
The Conference welcomes anyone who has an interest in contributing to seeing development policy and practice informed by quality research and a robust evidence base.
The theme for 2017, Partnering for Impact on Sustainable Development: collaboration, coordination and solidarity, builds upon the vision of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and will combine data, innovation, and expertise in analysing development impact
The RDI Conference Committee are honoured to host Helen Clark, former Prime Minister of New Zealand and former Administrator of the UNDP, to deliver the keynote address at RDI Conference 2017.
As a champion of inclusive and sustainable development, Helen Clark will present her own response to the Conference theme of Partnerships for Impact on Sustainable Development. Her insights based upon her successful tenure in key global leadership posts promise to both challenge and inspire participants.
The RDI Conference app will add significant value to the conference for delegates, by offering rapid access to key information, live updates and opportunities for real-time interaction and dialogue with fellow participants. The app will include full program details including the ability to customise the user experience through the personalisation of scheduling. Profiles of speakers, venue maps, sponsor details and live participation in a “Great Debate” session will ensure delegates are able to find the information they need, and maximise opportunities for engagement.
