About Economics Tutor

This app has been developed by an Australian economics educator and is designed for senior secondary (or 1st year university) students of economics. It provides hours of practice completing multiple choice tests, as well as valuable assistance understanding the key elements of any senior economics course. The explanations provided for the majority of questions will help students to know why they went wrong. More importantly, the explanations provide an effective ‘learning tool’ and are designed to help students develop or consolidate their understanding of each area of the course. The app contains a total of 75 multiple choice tests (750 questions in total), broken down into the 15 separate categories below:

1. Introductory concepts (40)
2. Market Mechanism (70)
3. Price Elasticities (30)
4. Market Structures (20)
5. Market Failures (30)
6. Macro activity/Eco growth (50)
7. Inflation (50)
8. Employment & Unemployment (60)
9. External Stability (50)
10. Income Distribution (40)
11. Fiscal/Budgetary policy (60)
12. Monetary Policy (60)
13. Aggregate Supply Policies (40)
14. The Policy Mix (20)
15. Course Revision (130)

Each test contains 10 multiple choice questions and comes complete with test statistics and graphs. The number and range of MC questions makes this app an ideal companion for economics students. There is no need to waste time when travelling to or from school, or when out and about with a few minutes to spare. Test your understanding of the course and learn as you go!! Completing all of the questions and heeding the advice/information provided within the explanations is one sure way to improve your examination performance in this subject.

If you are having trouble understanding how the market mechanism works, or what is meant by a market failure, or you simply need more practice handling questions related to the external sector, this App will provide you with loads of support. It is one investment you cannot afford to pass up!

From personal experience, best used as a revision tool while travelling and with fellow students. Being able to view said question and answer simultaneously and a transparent icon background would make a five star app.

S70%
by S####:

Could let the questions be asked in shuffle. And secondly when I ask a question I would still like to read the question that was correct: so I would want to see both the answer and explanation of it simultaneously.

Like the app. One thing I would like is a random question button, rather than doing mini tests for each area. If there isn't already, a compilation of VCAA questions would also be good. And explanations for all questions. But other than those things, I think its great, and the only VCE eco app on the market. Cheers

Lots of question and good explanations. In the future it would be better of there were econometric questions involved. None the less a helpful revision especially when on travelling.
