QuickTap - Cashless Vending AU

Every NFC tag I've ever tried hasn't pointed to a machine, but the QR codes haven't failed me yet, albeit some needing a reinstall. It has saved me a few times when I haven't had any cash (or even a card) on hand, so yay. That said, right now all I'm getting is "The system is currently unavailable. Please try again later.", so I guess I'm going thirsty tonight.

I have a Samsung Galazy S4 and the QR payments work all the time. However, whenever I try NFC, it never responds and displays the message "insert card". The same vending machines work fine when I use my Visa Pay Wave debit card, so I believe it is an issue with the app. Also it would be great to have a promotion where you build up loyalty points or something similar so that every 10 or so drink purchases you get one free or something.

I got only $27 in my bank account and I topped up 10 bucks (Luckily, I was going to top up 20 bucks) However, You CAN'T purchase anything by using this app... Seriously, this app is cheating on people's money. DON'T Download it.

The app has stopped working. I have $11 in the app however the app does not work, always stating the system is unavailable. I would like a refund.

For the vast bulk of my purchases, I use the Quicktap NFC card I have in my wallet. When it works, it authorises fastest behind coins which is handy for when one's in a rush on a train platform. That said, it seems that it's hit and miss which CCA machines accept Quicktap through their card reader. Some labelled Quicktap don't, some not labelled do, and some that have in the past have stopped doing so and don't even acknowledge card, but will take credit card. Consistency please!

These machines happily take take money but don't dispense anything way too often. Little more than theft machines. Lesson learned. Will avoid whenever possible.

Sure way to lose your girl when she is thirsty. This idiotic app doesn't accept any any payments and fails at all the top up attempts.

It used to work fine - have reinstalled a few times and still contantly not working. Very disappointed.

Got charged 4 times before I got 1 coke so paid like $15 for a 600ml coke and then gave me the wrong one

Using a quicktap NFC card seems to be the fastest way, particularly where a machine has no quicktap barcode or NFC tag. Third party cards take longer to authorise, and coins are hit and miss on whether they work or not.. I use the app purely to review my balance, purchase history and to check what promos are active. One issue I've found with the app is that after performing a top up, it'll crash out. Restarting it works fine, and credit has been processed, but it seems a little strange. Programmer shortcut?

I tried to sign up for this on my Nexus 6P, but I couldn't enter my date of birth. The date control would only let me select a date in the current month. I couldn't be bothered swiping back 47 years, month by month, to get back to my year of birth. Fail. Un installing.

What happened? It use to work and not anymore. I scanned and tried to make a purchase at vending machine, but it says declined because I need $1 or more to make a purchase, when I have about $12.90 available to spend.

Samsung S4 (Android 4.4.3) quick tap sometimes crashes on launch. unable to scan at vending machines. Please fix the S4 NFC scan issue. Also Vending machine doesn't have a QR code to scan. Actual Quicktap card has worked everytime so far. just phones don't work

Dont know why people are having issues. You set up your card. You top it up with money, you use card. Its not hard at all! 5/5

About two weeks ago it just stopped working. It keeps saying the system is unavailable try again later.

Not as fast as the QuickTap card but working with my Galaxy S3 on the activated machines. Just need more machines to have the QR & NFC option.

Every time I attempt to top-up, the app force closes

You type one letter it does 3-6 characters at a time.

Wasted 10 dollars on it

I was like an idiot who trying to scan it in assembling my case, tap and retap. If you haven't tested your app appropriately please dont public them as it will ruin your reputation as a big firm but coud not make the app properly!!! I will still keep the app as i believe in it.

First off, easy to top up, but NFC still doesn't work and you'll look really stupid if you try. Barcode reader needs separate ap, which does work, but not all machines have the QR on it. I use it in conjunction with the quicktap card I got in the CCA website which works well, but isn't handy when I don't want to bring my wallet. 10% off is nice, but needs more occasional promos, as it is now, it's not that useful or convenient. Could be great.

I love this app it makes it so much easier to buy a refreshing beverage. 5 star because it's easy to use as well.

I've installed the app, signed up, topped up my account, but if I scan the qr code on the machine it tells me that hardware is required. App also doesn't appear to have FAQ or usage instructions.

Works for me i use it alot the only things wrong is nfc doesn't work much i end up scanning qr code and when i recharge account app crashes other than that i love it

Put money in thru paypal and have never been able to get it to work.what a P.O.S

I'd expect some of the cheaper vendors to push out an app like this but not coke. Does not work.

Thought I would download the app so I wouldn't have to worry about having my wallet with me to use the machines at work. Great idea considering my phone has NFC... Except to this day I've never been able to successfully buy anything using the app because the nfc tap never works and I just end up looking like an idiot for trying it and the coke vendor has covered the scan stickers so they can't be used. Complete waste of time and a blight on the image of coke.

Bar buying a car anyway. Why do you need so much personal information just to make a purchase? How do you top up and why top up? Since it wouldn't let me get that far I am going to hazard a guess and say I would have to enter credit card details and send in scans of my drivers license and passport. Keep trying.
