The campground listing and reviews are pretty incomplete when compared with "RV Parks" or "RVParky". Trip planner is a great feature and syncs to multiple devices if you create an account. The offline function is great. These are the 2 reasons I use this app despite smaller data set. The app often crashes when switching with other apps back and forth.

Most of Wikicamps value is on user input info and in the US (when compared to other countries) it's still too little. It's a shame they are charging for the app in such an early state as it will affect the number of contributors and therefore the quality of the info provided. As of now it's hardly worth it.

I couldn't find any way to have it show public lands (National & State Forests, BLM land, etc.) where dispersed (wild) camping is allowed. The permissions are rather questionable. Why does it need to make phone calls? That's kind of shady.

Das ist wirklich eine gute app. Sie zeigt wo und wie weit entfernt die campgrounds befinden. Außerdem wie sie ausgestattet sind. Der Offline Modus funktioniert , wenn man sich online die Karten runtergeladen hat , sehr gut. Habe die app selber bei einem roadtrip durch die USA verwendet. Top.

Very useful for finding campsites offline. I am biking across the US and use it a lot. It will only get better as more people use it. Be sure to add info about your campsites-- it is really easy and fast to do!

Works great and especially works great offline. Unfortunately the young USA version still lacks comments when compared to the very complete Australia and New Zealand version, but time will fix that. Already now an essential app for spontaneous camping travel through the US. @users: please rate and comment as well as add sites if they don't exist. If everybody helps this app can become the social and money saving experience, as it is already in the other countries!
