Cast Controller brings every video on the web from your Android phone or tablet into your living room. Browse the page where your video is located at and play it instantly on your Chromecast or Amazon FireTV.
Watching videos from the Web has never been easier before:
* Connect your phone or tablet to the same WiFi-Network your FireTV or Cast-Device is connected to
* Choose the device you want to play on from the Toolbar in the top right corner
* Visit the page where your video is located at. You can simply type in an URL or a search term into the input field
* Tap the video to start it in the browser and get it recognized. If a video was found, the Action Button turns orange
* Tap the Action Button in the bottom right corner to start playing the video on your TV!
* Control the playback on your TV directly from the app

Supported Videos and Sites:
Cast Controller supports Facebook, Vimeo, Instagram, Twitch, Vid.me, Clipfish, and basically every site using standard HTML5 video players or an actual version of JW Player.
Some sites actively refuse third parties to access their videos, e.g. YouTube or Dailymotion. Similarly, videos from sites using highly customized players - such as Hulu, Netflix or Amazon Video - cannot be played either. In most of those cases, you can make use of the respective official apps.
Flash videos are not supported either, as neither Cast nor FireTV are able to play them.
Simply put, Cast Controller handles every video that would play on your phone's browser, as well - with a few minor exceptions.
The Desktop mode is limited to sites that are actually using seperate Desktop/Mobile versions. So-called "responsive" sites (such as this one right here) adapt solely on the basis of your device's screen size and can therefore not be changed.
Additionally, in case you experience any issues while using the advanced browser features, try to disable Desktop mode and enable Javascript for best results.

Slick app, works perfectly with my Amazon Fire TV! I've been trying so hard to find a decent implementation for sending web videos to my Fire TV. I only have a Chromecast Audio device so it's been killing me when I would see the Cast to option on videos and could only Cast to my audio receiver.

As a Fire TV owner this app works great! No need for a second app on the Fire TV, it uses existing framework on the device. Be advised the Fire TV will have extremely minimal controls but works smoothly. Saving me from buying a Chromecast. App still relatively new, but developer is pretty responsive.

When I first got it I was able to play anime from gogoanime. I started getting FireTV/Chromecast error with every video, I selected. Unfortunately, there isn't any support to help resolve this

Seemed nice, clear User Interface, but unfortunately it doesn't support embedded videos.. So far out of every casting app I've tried (rated 3.8 & above), only recently have I found one that will play embedded videos but none have been able to cross over into other apps, & browsers, like this one.. U have to use the casting browser in order to be able to cast, or device memory opened into the app itself. I can't say this app is bad, cuz it does what it says it does, but I know they could be better, hence that I've found that Google Chromecast will work across apps & browsers (which I loved until somehow I messed that up! Can't figure out how to fix it, cuz I blocked a pop up or notification, but not thru my phone settings, but inside the app, now i can't get it back..Grrr..N Idk, seems like Google is hard to get help from too) but..if someone wants to play embedded videos like me. (not a plug btw) Google home works, (Idk if u NEED the Chromcast though..I have one, so that's what I use their app for..) But I found the Tubio App/ casting browser can play embedded video also, and (this is a first btw) makes my Galaxy compatible with Apple T.V.! Which I didn't know was possible! Just wish more apps could simply activate casting features on the whole device, not just screen mirroring or by using their app as a browser. I like being able to use my phone when watching a movie. Long story long, if this app had that one capability, I would use it, cuz I really like the clarity and simplicity of the the UI.

Pro version is excellent ! It manages to go through all the popups and show you only the page with the embedded web video. As an improvement point please fix make the app know when I want to follow a link or just scrolling through the page as sometimes I need to scroll in very link-saturated pages where it's difficult not to touch a link and be sent to another page. Another nice-to-have feature would be that full screen videos watched on cell phone run in landscape mode as sometimes I'm not casting, but showing a movie to someone or just being somewhere far from home so it'll be nice to watch full screen videos in landscape mode as YouTube app does.

Was looking for something to cast Web video to my Fire TV. This does the trick. Had an issue with one site's mobile version, but it worked when I switched to the desktop version. Ads were a bit annoying while testing, going pro opened a lot of functionality got rid of the ads.
