As Event Countdown Widget is a widget it has to be added to your home screen. To do so go to the home screen, tap and hold somewhere in a free area and select to option of adding a widget. On Android 4.x select the widget from the widgets menu. Choose "Event Countdown Widget" and setup your widget.

I love the timer widget because it's attractive and customisable, it let's me see at a moments notice how long I have to wait for an important event. It also allows me to use a picture from my photo gallery. It was worth paying for.

Somehow accidentally changed settings. Got the font I want by bumping phone in my pocket, but couldn't work it out when trying within the app.
