I don't need the new Dashboard, but I love the new version: it has immersive mode, article view. The only thing that I still miss is night mode.

Novel approach to simply show you the print edition. Brings back the good old days of browsing the paper.

The app crashes once a day since your last update... I have the latest Android on a Nexus 5X

Why do i need to grant this app to make calls or access my media?

I'm super content with the Der Standard e-paper format! I'm very much used to the structure of the print edition, so I'm not that fond of the online version/app. The e-paper version allows to browse through the articles like you do the print edition and additionally offers a very convenient e-reader mode. It's perfectly suitable for tablets or smartphones and you'll always have not only the current but also previous editions on hand. Absolutely love it! PS: for those who're actually complaining that this version is not for free: yes, of course you'll have to pay for a newspaper, e-paper or print. If you want to consume news without paying, there's still the regular Der Standard app. This is literally the e-version of the actual newspaper Der Standard which is also not handed out for free, in case you hadn't noticed.

This app worked perfectly until yesterday. JUNE 13 2017. Then theymupdated it and now it does not even start. What a shame for paying customers.

But please include immersive mode and remove the mandatory permission to make phone calls!

als aufm iphone, aber comment sind nicht möglich - app fragt nach neuer version, obwohl die neueste installiert ist. Update: das neue layout = unbrauchbar.

...you are looking for. If you do not pay, you will not be able to see any news. Like many Austrian ideas, offering a service for e-newspapers for 20€ a month clearly defeats the idea of a news application for tablets.

I have a new HTC one and tried this app - scrolling through pages is very slow (shouldn't that be smooth like hell!?!) and image quality when zooming is very poor..additionally I get crashes constantly and the app is very very slow in general - what the heck??

Es waere gut, wenn die Schriftgroesse variierbar waere, so dass man auf groesseren Displays davon profitieren koennte...es sieht gar etwas klein geschrieben aus... Update: Die Schriftgroesse ist nun veraenderbar! Die Einstellung bleibt auch erhalten. Danke!! Nur wird leider nicht die volle Bildschirmbreite ausgenutzt (Note2) und beim wechsel von portrait zu landscape stuerzt die sw gerne ab.

Would give 5 stars if app obeyed landscape/portrait rotation lock setting and NOT rotate the screen if rotation lock is enabled. Otherwise great app! Easy to use, works as you'd expect.

Wäre supa, wenn es eine gratis Version gäbe, die zb nur weniger Seiten enthält und dazwischen zusätzliche Werbung einblendet.

Super, nur eine Bitte... Es waere gut, wenn die Schriftgroesse variierbar waere, so dass man auf groesseren Displays davon profitieren koennte...es sieht gar etwas klein geschrieben aus... Update: Die Schriftgroesse ist nun veraenderbar! Danke. Leider merkt sich die Software die eingestellte Groesse aber nicht, so dass man jeden Artikel erneut anpassen muss... darueber hinaus waere es dann auch noch toll, wenn der Text ueber die ganze Bildschirmbreite dargestellt wuerde, und nicht auf die Breite eines 4Zoll display begrenzt waere.
