ASK Brooklyn Museum for Android
Got real specific info super quick! App crashed when I tried to add photos tho.
Within seconds of asking about one of the museum's period rooms, I received a thoughtful answer from Rebekah, one of the great Ask Brooklyn staff. This is an ingenious program that more museum's should adopt!
It was great to have someone on had to answer questions and share in my experience with the art. They replied efficiently and thoughtfully. It'd be great if the app had an overview of the exhibits as well.
A fantastic way to engage with art! The museum staff that I chatted with was funny and informative!
Awesome app for communication back and forth throughout the museum.
The art historian we chatted with, Roko, gave excellent recommendations and so much background info on the exhibits. We had a fantastic conversation about the works of Beverly Buchanan & Marilyn Minter, trading thoughts, facts, theories, and even some art jokes. Exponentially deepened the pleasure of the museum visit
Allows users to focus on specifics of an exhibit that they otherwise might not have the chance to in a group setting. Allows visitors to tour at their own pace, focusing on items of interest and skipping those they're less interested in.
Used the ASK app today at the Brooklyn Museum . what an exiting experience. you get to visit the museum and chat online with the museum staff, ask questions and get extra info according to your own interest. This is a highly recommended experience and a wonderful example of technology use.
Does not have any maps, location of restrooms, cafe etc or other useful info while visiting a museum.
App was well designed, worked perfectly, staff were super helpful and prompt. A must for every museum goer!
Fantastic new way to experience the Brooklyn museum. The experts, particularly Andrew and Roko, were engaged and incredibly informative. Great work!
Takes the museum experience up 20 notches. Great way to get extra insights on pieces and spark conversations
The museum educators were so helpful, and the responses were immediate. It completely enhances the art-viewing experience.
It's like having your very own docent.
To learn more about artwork beyond what's written on the caption
Super useful app. Everyone who visits should use it!
The person who was helping me was very nice and attentive.
Every museum should be this accessible!
Super fun and interesting to use.
Great educational app
It's like having a personal tour guide. With wit, personality and expertise. They've even offered to email next week on a question they couldn't answer at the time. MoMA should take note.
I thought I would just be chatting with someone who was searching Wikipedia for me, but it was way better. The conversations were fun, thought-provoking, and enhanced my experience. Very nice!
This app is a new and great way to ask questions in real time. You get expert answers quickly and completely to satisfy your curiosities!
I love how interactive the app is and the fast responses. I liked that I could hold a conversation with another person and not just an automated response from a machine. I love this app and will be using it for my next museum visit.
This is the museum experience I've always wanted. Good answers from smart, nice people. What more could you want?
Felt very personal and was a fun way to learn more about the art I was intrigued about! Like your own expert in your pocket.
This is amazing I truly recommend it to anyone. The interaction is awsome, and the feed back is on point. Plus it is very easy to use.
The answer I got was personable and knowledgeable, with unexpected comments. Can't wait to use it again.
Reference glare on paintings in walk way they make non glare material works great
Informative, easy to use, and the historians themselves are great.
Made for a great experience at the brooklyn museum.

At first I didn't think I'd use the app, but then I had a question. Elizabeth T got back to me asking for clarification. I explained what I was trying to understand, and our conversation kept on going throughout most of our stay. She was extremely knowledgeable and offered several suggestions for further study. She helped me find a related object that I went to see in an entirely different exhibit. As I told her as I left, I wish I had an app/guide like this for the real world! I guess that is what Google wants to be but they'll never be as good as this. (I do wish the app let me email a transcript to myself.)
