About NavMeter GPS Maps speedometer

NavMeter allows you to display speed, altitude, compass, and coordinates indicator over the navigators that don’t provide this informations (like the Google Maps one).

HOW TO START
Open NavMeter and enable auto activation. Then open Google Maps and start the navigator: the speedometer will appear; drag it wherever you like with your finger. Tap it quickly if you want to make it disappear for few seconds.
Every time you will start the navigator, the speedometer will appear where you placed it.
If you don’t want it to appear anymore, just disable auto activation.

MULTIPURPOSE NOTIFICATION
When the indicators are active, a notification appears. You can toggle between day and night mode and hide indicators from that. If indicators had been activated manually, you can also switch them off.

CUSTOMIZE THE INDICATORS
Indicators are fully customizable: you can edit color, dimensions, shape and transparency. You can choose the unit of measurements you prefer and you can decide if display them or not.

ACTIVATE WITH OTHER APPS
By default, Indicators are activated automatically only with Google Maps navigator. You can activate them with any application simply going to Settings and selecting “Other apps”.

HUD
NavMeter features a HUD also that you can activate from menu. Open it and place your device under the windshield: speed, time, altitude and compass will be reflected in it (it works when it’s dark).

TASKER PLUGIN
NavMeter features a Tasker plugin which provides some actions to enable and disable auto actvation and indicators and to change night-day mode.

What are users saying about NavMeter GPS Maps speedometer

What I want is the speed limit to overlay on Google Navigation. I wonder, though, how much Here maps charges apps like this to use their services when this app charges users $1.99 per month while the app Maps Speed Limits, which also uses Here, charges $0.99 per year.

By default not working on my redmi note 3.... Workaround... I have to switch on the accessibility setting and manually turned on the permission for pop up display... Auto activation still not working :(

Love it, does exactly what it claims after minor tweaks in settings.

Very impressed, had a paid app for this previously and it no longer works with my S7. This app is perfect for what it's meant to do, very happy. Edit was very happy, it pops up occasionally but never stays and doesn't seem to matter what settings I use etc after my S7 updated to Android 7.0. Huge bummer :/

Has option to invert and mirror display in HUD. MODE. Usfulll if you need to set on dash to reflect display for speed. not sure how well it will work but. If you had a display recessed and used a mirror or sheet of reflective glass it will look right I stead of reversed this is an extra. Function that shows thought was put into this app and Seems accurate as my LG k10 will allow designed to work w google .maps. Have not tried this function loads quickly does not seem to slow phone. No annoying adds so far I can find no downside

I think stopping the indicator instead of hiding should be the default as it's more intuitive to the user. Either close it or keep it running not hide and keep GPS on.

Only kilometers / hour?

Ok app, would be handy if speedometer was in mph too though

Updated "When I use Google maps (just Maps wo navigator) It does not hide indicators when Maps is in background." Actually there is a way, App called "Maps speedometer" does that thing right. You may look into it. Thanks and let us know if you fix that.

Superb application. It takes speed limit data from Here and display for Google Maps. It still has some design issues, for example a general setting of speed units that should change them for "Speed limit" gauge is hidden in "Speed" settings menu. But the author supports the application and answer questions here really fast, so no doubt this all will be fixed.

E70%

The app is free but if you want the speed limit you have to pay

Great app, works well and ui is great and easy to use. One thing that would make it virtually perfect would be an option to edit the opacity of the overlay so that you could partially see through the overlays in other apps as sometimes can block crucial info on maps. Keep up the good work!

Expensive for a simple feature, subscription model for ONE feature?

Why does this app keep appearing in the notification, every time i exit out of an app this app is linked to this app hangs in notification, even though foreground mode is unchecked.

X70%

Great app on the phone. Would like it to work on my connect car radio with Google Maps and Navigation.

K70%
by K####:

Half the time it doesn't show up when I'm running Google maps/GPS.

V70%

Exactly what I was looking for. Would have been nicer if I could change the color and background transparency.

R70%
by R####:

Definitely need to pay to use..... unless there's a magical button somewhere.

T70%

Can't get speed limit to activate

R70%
by R####:

If I could take away this one star I would. You hot my hopes up. Made it seem like I could use the app without paying. I'm broke man. That's why I looked up free. I don't even care about the speed limit. Just how fast I'm going. Why can't I use it without the speed limit???
