Chromer - Browser for Android
I love this app - but only when it works. I'm not sure if it's my phone or what, but about half the time, when I press the floating button, custom tabs won't open. I will have to go into the chromer app and reopen the article. Other than the bug, when it does work I love having a quick "pop out" browser where I can quickly resume my work.
Keeps getting better, really good updates in terms of design and loving the new history log. The only thing I see that needs improvement is the article mode, which adds an extra line between paragraphs. Thanks developer, keep up the good work!
I hope the floating bubble's functionality can still be made better by the dev. E.g.: when having multiple web heads, clicking it shouldn't directly open the last clicked website, but instead user should be able to choose which web head he/she wants to open. Something like what Flynx does, but Flynx can't browse in full-screen like this app does.
Don't know if it's chromer's problem or Chrome's problem, but opening any links with chromer right now will cause chrome beta to crash. Haven't been able to use Chromer for a couple weeks now, due to this.
This interferes with app intents. If you try iDEAL payment chromer will catch the call without forwarding/opening the ???? app. This is a blocker for me
Great app! But if your friend got complemented by AndroidAuthority Just Remember AndroidAutority's Reviews were written by a random fatty with a beard 10 feet long writing reviews to make you jealous of a friend.
I use this great app everyday. The bubble's are so convenient, url from emails or websites and read it later on. In my opinion the bubble is not usefull in my TV app or YouTube I hope this will be corrected someday
Now broken on chrome, they must have caught up with the updates that caused the previous beta chrome versions to crash. Old review: Not working with the latest chrome beta as the custom tabs provider, switched to chrome and it works. Web heads still buggy in minimise/restore, history doesn't update the title of site, only shows URL after tab open and loaded. Still use daily, really useful app.
Awesome and functional. The text browser doesn't catch everything, but it's still a good consideration. Is it possible to copy all tab links and have them separated by a line break? There's also a bug there opening a link still shows the page for some sites instead of loading in the background.
Dear Shree Arun jee ! This app is pretty good but can't work good for the web version in Android. In rotate-screen mode it always returns to its original browsing place just with a rotate. This is too much irritating. This can't even opt for a desktop view as it's quite best in chrome. This is the only great demerit of this app. Becoming very very impossible n difficult to run a desktop mode and to rotate screen. Would u like to fix this problem plz? It's not possible at all to run a desktop view.
It's great. Way better than opening full chrome. But I have one issue: If chrome is open in the background, I get switched to chrome after opening the chromer window. Very annoying, but otherwise a great app.
Almost perfect! But I think it needs to open it's custom tab with the same orientation of the app that provide the link. My device is portrait-locked, and when I click a link from a landscape-oriented app, it changed orientation to portrait immediately. It breaks the workflow.
Excellent... pleasantly surprised..use it every day & is a godsend when browsing reddit & Twitter..one issue is in night mode quotes & links r blue making them almost indistinguishable against a black background..if there was text expansion in bubble mode it would be near perfect..????
Has become my go-to browser. Fast and unobstrusive, it works well to pre-open pages; want to check that page later? Quickly send it to a different browser and close the bubble. Love the integration of webheads - only request I have is that they open up in the order the links were opened (oldest to newest). Is that possible?
Great when it works, but sometime in the last couple of months it started crashing when trying to load any web page on my Galaxy S8+ running Nougat. Still works fine on my Nexus 7 running Marshmallow. App hasn't been updated in 7 months, so I'm not optimistic that this will be fixed.
Fast and somewhat functional, needs ability to select/switch bubbles easily: long-press is so cumbersome as to make it unusable. Would also be nice to have an option to retain the bubble when using the Back button, but not when hitting X. These paper-cuts sadly make the app too inefficient to use.
Still not sure what this browser does. As a standalone it opens web pages very well in basic form and without ads, etc. However you can't set it to open links from Google search and it doesn't import Chrome bookmarks so you can't set it as default browser. You can set a link to Chrome but since it's based on Chrome anyway I don't see why it can't just behave in the same way, with bookmarks included.
It's a disappointment for me. Thought it would be able to do things Chrome never been able to.... (disabling image loading, disabling JavaScript)
Please add open in new tab or open tab in backgroung feature.. else I dumped all the browsers after downloading it.. awesomeness from my own country thanks alot bhai..
If it weren't for this app, I would have never been able to disable the setup wizard (couldn't find this in app settings anywhere) that opened up all my links in setup mode. Thank you!
Has quit working in the last week or 10 days. Before that it was great. Now it's worthless.
Keeps crashing with latest OS update. Annoying to switch between web heads (have to long press before selecting relevant web page)
It makes following links much more efficient & seamless rather than use full version of Chrome. Saves phone resources & time. Can always choose to open Chrome instead when I feel the need to. Thank you Arunkumar!
Cannot even disable really ugly and dumb suggestions during url typing. Instantly uninstalled.
This may be some random bug. But every time I try to load webpage it just opens firefox nightly and does nothing else.
Please include an option to restore all links/heads when they're all closed at once. Everytime the phone turns off accidentally like due to battery or something, I lose 30 or so links that I must manually find and reopen from the recent history option.
Very cool app can't believe I went so long without it, didn't know about the WebView framework that all apps open by default when you click a link, but this app let's you use Chrome(Chrome) with all your personalisations, but even better. Android should pay this dev and incorporate his IP into Android by default, Thank you.
Immediately right out of the box, the first thing I tried to do was just a recipe web search and it keeps telling me that Chrome has crashed, never really does anything beyond that
Good app, still it doesnt feels lke a browser, make it convenient to switch between tabs.⏩And it loads very fast ????
It was the best browser until it stopped working for me. Now I can't open the regular browser, only the article view works.
Great concept, great ui! Basically chrome, but tabs are always fullscreen, so visually beautiful. And web heads, tabs-as-apps options make tabbed browsing integrate into android, even better!
This is an excellent app and does almost everything it says it does. Almost because slide from right is not working in the Google app where it always slides from bottom. I am on Lineage OS 14.1. Apart from this, please provide an option to show/hide the toast notifications. If a site loads as AMP, you can maybe add the lightening icon in the header.
Great app useful for reading articles without leaving the app// wish there was an option to change the article background color and font in the custom tab provider view//and ability to change fonts in article mode
Even with the agressive loading option, the bubbles load the page icon before the page is fully loaded. It should communicate to the user when the bubble is done fully loading.
Web heads needs improvement. When multiple links, i should be able to choose which to see, but it opens last one
Well so far so good it feels like Google Chrome But a little bit different I think that I have to use it more!!
Been using this excellent app for quite a while now BUT recently it crashes all the time and is completely unusable therefore is no longer my default browser app
I think overall the app is really good and the interface is really easy to use. Keep up the good work.
Crashed too often. Doesn't restore all the links (bubbles) upon restarting the app. History list gets disoriented after clicking to open.

Great app with room for improvement. When opening a link into a bubble, the whole screen turns white for a second as the window first opens and then immediately goes into a bubble. This seems like an oversight since I only wanted the bubble to form discreetly on the side. EDIT: fixed by reinstalling. I much prefer this app over the alternative bubble browsers because this works just as well as chrome itself on all websites.
