ART OPPS?
There are numerous online websites, networks, mailing lists, newsletters, homepages and other resources dedicated to opportunities for artists. Art Opps is a try to bring all that information together, organize it and make it accessible to artists and audiences around the globe. Art Opportunities, or just Art Opps, serves as a free technology platform for artists and cultural organizations working in all fields of art to gather and exchange relevant information.

WHO IS INVOLVED?
We are working with cultural institutions, non-governmental organizations, festivals teams, websites and people from all over the world to add more content and to improve the platform on a daily basis. Please do contact us if you’re interested in contributing as well.

DO WE CURATE CONTENT?
The contributions all come from our partners. We do however try to organize all the acquired data in different ways, such as using the hubs (more than 60 channels dedicated to specific fields of art; In example: art residencies, sound art, experimental films, sculpting, installation art, photography, dance etc.), but we can not guarantee for the correctness of information provided nor can we answer the questions about specific opportunities.

WHAT ABOUT THE COPYRIGHT?
All information published on the site is owned by their respective owners, and these information may be subject to various copyright laws around the world.

WILL YOU BE ADDING MORE PARTNERS?
We always continue to expand our network. If you have an idea, feedback or would like to initiate collaboration with us, please do let us know.

PERMISSIONS, WHY?
-Storage - to save opps and run app when offline
-Internet - to sync
-Prevent sleeping - to sync in intervals (disabled by default)
-flashlight, vibrator - notifications (disabled by default)
-start at boot - it doesn't start the app: to quickly check sync preferences and to periodically sync if enabled (disabled by default)

All Androids above 2.2 are supported.


We get=share info from artists, festivals, NGOs, lists, theatre groups, dance collectives and other contributors on a regular basis. That includes media such as (but not limited to): Zippyframes, Nmartproject, Transartists, Re-title, Transculturalexchange, Visualalberta, Residencyunlimited, Scoopit, Rhizome, Artrubicon, Expcinema, Eyemedianews, Neme, Newmediafest, Artservis, Wooloo, Fluate and more.
