Diaspora Native WebApp for Android
For months I've been looking for an alternative to Facebook that didn't bank off of selling my personal information to corporations. Zuckerberg had a cool idea but sold out its users sense of privacy. I want that real freedom back, so I switched to Diaspora. So far so good, hopefully we continue to grow as a platform, spread the word as much as you can! I'm doing it!
Use of the app would be better if you could just enter your pod and username manually. The pod list is not loading on my up to date new device. Forcing to wait for the pod list has broken the app ....never loads
I use in Samsung Galaxy Duos SM-G130H, it works flawlessly except image upload button. I never able to post image from this app. It will get more rate if this problem fixed.
Nah, sorry, that's not how an app should work. Broken. There is no option to add a new post, the "toggle mobile" is ridiculous in an app and it also breaks the design.. I was expecting something totally different
Modern phone cameras generate large JPEG files. The app refuses to upload anything above about 4MB, but doesn't offer to re-scale the photo for the user. That makes this app impractical for sharing photos on Diaspora.
It's the perfect hybrid of a native app and a webapp, and it's blazing fast. Only one request is that the developer please add the few .onion addresses to the list. Bring Tor compatibility with the codebase of Fire.onion, the best Tor browser ever.
Turns out this is a heinously outdated version and I should get it from F-droid. Unsure why the author has not updated this one. Minor niggles: (+) button covers [Reply] button in messages. No "share" option to cross-post to other social media.
I'm not sure if the words native and webapp really go together, but I think it is currently the best diaspora client for android. I did find the new post button a little annoying after a while though.
After an amount of time this app forgets my login details and I can't login, I use complex passwords for security so this makes the app somewhat unusable.
I can't post pictures :(. Clicking the "camera" button doesn't do anything. So I can't add pics to my posts....
Stays stuck on "loading pod list..." When opening the app. Using Android 5.1.1.
lost trust in facebook. really sick of facebook lies and lack of privacy. facebook sucks . using Diaspora now and ello.
I'm very happy that this app exists! Please continue development.
Stick at pod loading so is useless so far?
The app just stalls at the loading pods screen and never ever connects.
Installed the app half an hour ago and since it's loading pods...
Completely non-functional.
Works nicely
Its useless, disgusting, boring
Stuck on "Loading pod list", and back button doesn't exit the app, either tap home button or remove it from recents list.
Have only used it once but, so far, it works very well. D* needed an app that was decent and this may just do it. Very good start.
A usable d* app!
Anything that gets me away from the retards on facebook is a good thing.
Awesome!
Best client yet. Looking forward to further updates. <3. Also appreciate anyone else who can afford to tip benevolent dev Martin.
It works great, it is private, and decentralized. You choose who will see your posts, friends, or everyone. You also choose server which you want to use. It works great!
Great work! Thanks :-)
Loving
missing landscape layout
Finally.
Finally a good client for Diaspora. Keep up with the good work!
Great work! Thanks :-)
