User Manual for Accelerometer Xlog Data-Logger -- Android Version 2.0

Using this app, 8 different activities including walk, sit, stand, run, jump. lie down, climb upstairs and downstairs can be recorded.

Note: All default settings are the best situation to generate dataset. We would recommend to keep the default. Please do not switch off the screen during data recording process as the countdown timer would stop if you do so.
1-Start up:
After installation, please open Xlog app. Press New User if you are a first time user, otherwise press yellow button to choose your existing email.
2-New user (first time use after installation):
You are required to fill in the blank space with order and then press Save. Your details will be then stored in the app. You can press OK to continue or Cancel to stay on this page. Note: These details are only going to be fill out once.
You can add us on Google+ which displays at the bottom of the screen.
Press Exit to exit the application.
3-Existing user:
You can choose your email from the list and will automatically lead you to the main screen.
4-Data recording (Main page):
Open the spinner on the left to choose the activity that you would like to perform.
Open the middle spinner to choose the length of the activity. Note: 90 seconds is the default value. 60+ seconds will be the best choice for sufficient data collection. We would be very appreciated for your help.
*Open the spinner on the right to choose the time interval between each sample. Note: 10 msec is the default sampling interval. Less than 20 will be the best choice for sufficient data collection.
Press Start Capture to capture your accelerometer data. There will be a 5 seconds delay to let you putting the phone into your BACK pants pocket. You will hear a beep and feel the vibration indicates start. Note: Please turn up the volume in order to hear beep.
Number in the middle is going to countdown, data capture will automatically stops with vibration and beep sound to inform you. Note: the length of the vibration is 3 seconds.
You can cancel the data capture any time by pressing Cancel, all the data you captured earlier will discard.
Press Change User to return to the Login screen.
5-Sending recorded data:
Press Send email to send to the default email address. (XlogMv@gamil.com). This will directly lead to your email application installed on your device.
6-Exit:
Press Exit to exit the application otherwise Xlog will keep running in the background.
