GeezerHelp - speech to text

- A very simple, clean, uncluttered, easy to use, fast, speech to text (as in words, not texting) app to use for elderly people who are hard of hearing and can not see very well. Would work for deaf people also.
- Two clicks and you are ready to go. Click inside the text box, click microphone on upper right of keyboard that pops up, speak and it will convert what you say to displayed words.
- You can edit words that do not translate correctly by using the keyboard that pops up. Or delete and say again more clearly.
- Click the "clear" button to automatically clear out the old text. Saves time by not having to use the backspace key or highlighting and deleting.

- Font size is 24. Due to font size, recommended for larger screens.
- Has word wrap.
- works horizontal or vertical orientation.
- You can set your tablet to sleep after 1 min, so you can save power while waiting to use it again with the person you are with.
- recommended for 7 in tablet (note: as of android OS ver 4.2.2 has speech recognizer that works offline, very useful if you are not near a WIFI hotspot.)
- adult word filtering not complete even with block offensive words activated.
- works great with my hard of hearing dad who was an artillery sighter in the WWII 442nd infantry regiment 105mm howitzer battalion. The most decorated regiment in the history of the US army. They did not issue hearing protection back then.
Revision 2 notes: You can now pause and add to what your are saying. Click in the text box, then click on the little microphone in the upper right of the keyboard that pops up below, start talking, pause, continue, add more. Click on the “clear” button to clear the text box. Android OS 5.1.1
